Gonna do a little name drop regarding that, cuz it's worth it :). Back around 2004, Pete Steele was helping my band out (my guitarist was friends with him from HS or something). Anyhow, he was a super cool dude, with an interesting sense of humor. I had to go pick up something from his house once and he told me that if he didn't answer the door to just wait, cuz he was jumping in the shower. I said jokingly, "Uhhh... do I have to be worried about coming over, like are you going to be naked or something?" and he responded immediately, in a dead pan voice, "As long as you're not wearing High Karate or Canoe, you're safe." Might not sound as funny here, but the timing and delivery were awesome. I miss that guy. He really was an awesome human being. His door was always open to everyone.

When the Susan B. Anthony dollar coins came out the common concern was that people would mistake them for quarters. The local news station wanted to do a story on that and because the crews would often stop at my deli/grocery store for lunch they thought they had a perfect opportunity. The guys said they wanted to film me at the register for a story (they didn't say what it was) so they filmed the reporter buying some gum from me and gave me a Susan B. I gave them change. He had assumed i would think it was a quarter and make his story work. He got flustered and eventually got me to fake it. LOL.

The original Fake News, eh?

As a bit of a collector, I like accumulating examples of all of the various dollar coins. I think it is a good idea but we Americans have made it clear that acceptance of them is minimal.
