My grandmother gave me that entire hard cover set when I was very young, but for some reason, I didn't read many of them.
Coincidentally enough, I just mentioned those Hardy Boys books to my wife earlier this week, regretting that I wished I had read them, while reminiscing about other childhood stuff. And then you post that pic...another example of great Pennsylvanian minds on similar wavelengths! :thumbsup:

That is interesting that we seem to connect on things. Does that mean we are psychic friends or psycho friends? :woot:
 
I had a pica ruler I used when I worked in a printing company as a type setter, Linotype Operator, and printing press operator.
Don't forget patternmaker's scales, that were graduated with a certain shrink factor included - so if you didn't notice that little "1/8" per foot" engraved up in the corner, hilarity could ensue at the expense of the apprentice, or the young engineer being introduced to the shop floor for the first time.
