That is such a brilliantly simple solution. Just use the china and silver.A friend of mine has all her family's sterling silver and fine china, because here parents and grandparents were unfortunately all passed away by the time she was 30 and she just uses them daily, no special occasions. She has to polish the silver occasionally, but that's the kind of thing she likes to do, she also refurbishes old drafting tools.

Brings back so many memories...the menus, the trays, etc. Can still remember some of the old cafeteria ladies from the 60s.Culinary delights from the 1970s school lunch or canteen menus. You know they always took out the milk about an hour before so it was so nice warm when you got it served.
