Manners in youths. Has that been said yet?

I was up in Redding California last year. My wife and I went to the local mall and two teenagers opened the door to the mall for us. They were regular looking kid nothing unusual about them except there gracious smiles. My wife and I were in a state of shock and didn't know how to respond. So I just muttered thank you and walked in.

You can still find it from time to time (Halloween especially)
But it's not often any longer to see the General Mills monster cereals.

Franken-berry, Boo-berry, Count-Chocula.

My phone wouldn't let me post a pic so my apologies.

who had the little racing tracks with the little cars that you held a button and they went flying around a track? I used to love burning those out and sending them flying :D I'll se if I can find some pics.

Found them! They were called slot cars, I had a track similar to this one but it was a two lane and it covered an entire bed :D I loved these things!

Here's a huge 8 lane track race, this kind of stalling and flying off the track was what happened whenever you pushed it full throttle, was I the only one who remembers these?

You can buy Franken-berry, Boo-berry, Count-Chocula around here all the time. The two flavors that disappeared years ago were Fruity Yummy Mummy and Fruit Brute

Haven't had time to go through this entire thread yet. I'm sure there are lots of memories for me here. One thing I'm certain you don't see anymore is cigarettes for 45 cents a pack. That's how much they cost in the old machine in the laundromat around the corner from my house when I started smoking at around 12 years old. Pretty sure they were 60 cents everywhere else.

And fer those into HO and Aurora racing, anyone ever get into this stuff. For me it was standard fare anytime I got a new car:
