I already knew how to play bass pretty well and pick out my own equipment, but I wasn't much on the technical side. TB has brought my knowledge level way up in that regard, but with two caveats:
1. Many folks don't care about the science side and go by what their ears tell them only, which is just as cool an approach as any, despite any previous postings of mine that contradict me saying this now
2. The more I learn about the tech end, the more I realize that I don't know.
Despite that, I will continue my education, although I will always be somewhat of a layman. But I have been able to make improvements in my tones because of it, found out why I lose certain notes at certain venues on a consistent basis (boundary cancellations), and the like, so I'll keep trying to learn as well as I can. Until I get thrown off again
