So the differentiation of death metal and deathcore are [vocal style] in a chant-like element? (NOTE: I'm not taking issue with it, I AM actually curious; no one put that much distinction in Wiki!)
In the majority of descriptors you had noted issues that concerned vocals. Are there specific musical elements that are distinct?
There are many distinct nuances to each genre regarding instruments, I was trying to do more of a summary definition to make a point rather than get incredibly specific.
Though the instrumental specifics should be very clear to one who listens to the music. I might add such if I find the time/boredom.
I was just trying to give a basic outline.
And as has been mentioned before, which i might not have posted, Death Metal is the more robust, heavy constant bombardment, take "Make them Suffer" by Cannibal Corpse for instance. Whereas Deathcore makes more use of Breakdowns and musical changes in that sort, like"Suspended by the Throat" by Job for a Cowboy. Though their vocal style does not actually do a "heavy-chant" as i described earlier. They do scream, not every band will fit the outline exactly.
