Good evening Thunderbird loving sisters and brothers. Glad to relate that I got my new bass back from the tech this afternoon. I was dealing with some serious buzzing and such, and was not fond of the factorystrings. I ordered in a new set of EB Cobalt flats and dropped it off Monday afternoon. Got the call about 3 and decided it was time to start the weekend. My good friend and tech thought it had mismatched strings , with the G being a different type altogether. He set it up with the flats, adjusting both the truss rod and bridge. It has come back greatly improved. The strings sounds good, all the way up the neck, the action is great and the buzzing is gone. I spent all evening in the man cave trying some different settings on the amp and the bass, and generally getting to know it all over again. Looking forward to taking it to rehearsals next week. Hoping it gets even better as the new strings settle in. Thanks much for the good advice.

I think I played mine for maybe two hours with stock strings before I put Dunlop Marcus Miller Superbrights on it. I love the tone. The setup when it came was fine, but I lowered the stings a bit when I changed them. It plays great. Fantastic Thunderbird.

What kind of time-traveling sorcery do you have going on? That is from tomorrow's paper!

Also, seeing someone in the air like that makes my knees hurt in anticipation of the landing.
