That's beautiful!
Here's a quick demo of the Cataldo Basses 12 NR.
Sweeeet!!!……love the NR”s too ..,agree with you that the new Gibson pickups are a bit weak in the lows…prefer the Thunderbucker 66S as used for the Cataldo NR….

It is rather interesting that Fender went this route considering it has a few perfectly good bass humbuckers in its own lineup, and even more daring considering they put these in one of their most iconic basses, vs a Jaguar or Mustang type bass. It will be very interesting to see if any official Fender press comes out and calls these “Thunderbird” pickups vs Curtis Novack Humbuckers. What’s next, a Strat with P90’s?They are Curtis Novack Thunderbird pickups..............7ender finally gets it, and copies Gibson.
It's going to die and take you with it. I'll take it off your hands and make sure you are safe. It's a service I provide.Thunderbird Club experts...
Ive just discovered a hairline crack on my 30 plus year old T.Bird...
Is it just the paint or has something more problematic occurred underneath?
Help.!!!
LOL - Looks like the Fender custom shop might have some!Does anyone know where to buy a Pbass guard with a Tbird pickup route?
I think the chair looks OK, too. I made it. But what's really great is the thermostat. Is it just me or does this get better looking with every posting?
And that floor. I think it gets better as well.
Yeah, kinda like Pete Townsend. It was fun. Then there was fire.As in Pete Townsend demolished? That's way cool. Any clips? That would be must see TV! I can see you now swinging that monster around over your head and axing it into the floor. As long as the cat wasn't inside.
In my mind, your band with you on doghouse looks something like this:
You got a gem there!
I'm still having a little trouble seeing it. I see a hand. And some kind of silver thing the hand is resting on...
And some of us are addicted to playing too many notes.Twelve is almost easier than four. Just a little bit of more strenght for the fretting hand but that developes quickly plus you can play less notes as the sound is so big. There's of course the unfortunate thing called neck dive but that's not an issue in this group!![]()

I am sooo tempted to put some form of TBird pup in my Precision.
It looks very much at home there. That’s an Ebay Chinabucker. It actually blends well with the Fender Samarium Cobalt bridge PU.
Have you thought of and tried playing more with a pick? That might make playing much easier. Sounds really difficult as you described it.Well then I am a step up on playing it. Since the surgery, I haven't been able to figure out a way to arch my fingers like I used to (because the finger tips are no longer independent, index and middle flex together), so I am working with flat fingers.
I've got the covers for my '64 IV, but every time I've put them on, I take them back off. I think the extra weight helps with neck dive....…needs a bridge cover….my 65 rev got a 64 bridge cover now, not cheap…. needs original washers now …. best player ever, love this bird… seller said it was owned by Overend Watts which I don’t believe… by the way the perfect bass (for me) …
