I do like the sound and tried them several times because I wanted them to work. Just couldn't do it. Roto 66s I have zero problems with and don't get all the hand wringing over how hard they are on the fingers. A little more grabby but they don't make my fingers sore.

Full disclosure: my fingers hurt after playing a 3 hour gig on EBCF's. 'Course that's after not touching the bass for 2 weeks.

On second thought, they're more than twice as expensive as my SITs. No sale.

No joke, I put a set on one of my basses with a brass nut. In just the time that it took to install and tune the strings I ended up with a pile of brass dust at the nut. That was enough for me, never even played a single song with them, off the came and cut in half so I couldn’t accidentally install them on anything else. I did keep the cut strings and used them for nut files for a while. They’d shave a layer off a bone nut in seconds.
