Thunderbird Club

That girl to the left of the guy with the blue football jersey and sunglasses - Is she dressed up as a grey squirrel???

Indeed! Arboreal Rodentia. Happen to be a smallish guy tho, he chatted me up after the show.

It was a pretty good size crowd that night which always makes it a fun show to play, everyone wanted to party. The sliding door was open to all the slot machines that night (it was closed when we were doing sound check, which turned into silly music making fun) They monitor the db level at the board so it doesn't travel out into the gambling area too much.
It's the first place that ever put my band's name in lights, which was, and still is a bit of a thrill, at least for me.

That's just waaaay too great! Our reigning monarch is also a major celebrity now!

Here's some Gibson bass porn for y'all. ;)

It's not my bass. But it belongs to a nice gentleman in Frankfurt.

The pickup cover looks like it came from a Precision, unless Gibson was using a bigger cover over the pickups early on. Not that it makes any difference - that's a fantastic specimen.

During my lunch break i pulled down a burst bolt on epi bird & gave it a whirl through a 7ender rumble combo & i'm pretty convinced that i'll do the two volumes in my epi ungoth bird. Still TBD, but would be efficient to bringing out either pickup at given times. In other news, i've been playing around with my pedal settings & found a good setting on my MXR D.I. + especially with the distortion channel: not over the top & not too compressed, the distortion screams but sits well when battling a guitar on stage (at least i hope). I might have to bring the bass knob back a bit since my MXR 10 band EQ has the bass & low mids boosted keeping the treble, high mids flat (it acts like a compressor when switching between basses so none is lacking one frequency to another). Thursday i'm picking up a few more things i need from work such as the Ernie ball Volume pedal Jr Active, a 15 ft angled cable & a few patch cables between pedals so i can start designing my pedalboard build before Xmas arrives.

In Bird news, i've got one coat of red on the Goth body, & am about to file down the fret ends on the neck & then i can seal it in a gloss finish. The Tigerbird will resume next week.

It's the original pickup cover. The only thing that is not original on this bass is the trussrod cover.
