I have a contracture in my left ring finger that has been slowly getting worse over the years, I have been lined up several times to get it done but something keeps getting in the way. I can still play but guitar is pretty difficult chording with it and it is now getting in the way of certain fingerings on the bass. I whacked my left thumb last month and it still hurts but is getting slowly better. I'm lucky I can still play with all the stuff that has happened to my hands. Broken fingers etc. But then look at Keef's hands, he looks like he has severe arthritis (don't know) and he can still play so if he can do it so can I (not really, he's superman!).

I only hope for recovery for you and Keef ... and myself. I know wrist/hand injuries take a long time to heal... I just really hope (for me) that it does heal eventually. It's been pretty depressing lately.

Sounds like you are left handed. Ibuprofen does little for me up to now. Feels best in a hot water epson-salt bath. X-rays showed nothing broken - "a bad sprain"...

I have a cassette that a friend made for me decades ago of one of their LP's - it has an awesome post-psychedelic song on it and I have yet to find it on YouTube. I'm still looking and will post it when I finally find it. Otherwise, I find them generally dreary.

I just realized how unusual the fb position markers are on that bass... two (usually at the 12th fret) at the 9th fret... and 3 dots at the 12th fret. (22 fret neck) My 20 fret '63 Burns of London medium-scale Vista Sonic has three dots at the 12th fret (like yours) - but one dot everywhere else. Small detail... but odd, as in - either all the rest should be doubled, or all the rest single... why doubled only at the 9th, 15th & 17th fret?

Just a sub cult. The Power Steels sound great on Thunderbirds, they’re a bargain, they seem to last longer (at least for me) than other rounds and they feel smoother to the touch than a lot of other stainless strings. Oh. And the name is appropriate as they seem to stay in tune better than a lot of other brands.

It’s certainly not a bicentennial. If it’s actually a 60s II, then the seller is asking at least $7500 too much. The seller either hasn’t a clue or is trying to pull something. Or both. I’m glad to see there were no bids.
