Thunderbird Club

In fact, visually Thunderbird doesn't match the style of Mammas & The Pappas.

At first glance it claims more 70s rock.
Now I've realized that need to look for and practice more songs from this period, to put Tbird to good use.

That said, wait for me on next days, or next weekend ;)

My recommendation is to listen to Rodrigues's 2 early '70s LP's - excellent bass playing/bass-lines by Bob Babbitt and Gary Taylor.

...and Scott Walkers work from the late '60s-early '70s . Scott was a bass-player so all his songs have great bass even if he didn't play it.

From left to right.

I like the Hipshot,
But I’m a sworn believer in a 2 piece.
So that would be the mod for that guy.

#2 needs new pick ups.

The Precision needs a new neck and some form of Humbucker in the P position.

1) Can do, but not invisibly - not a 'drop-in' solution.
2) easy
3) new neck is doable - "some form of Humbucker in the P position"... then it wouldn't be a P-bass. Can do.., but the obvious question is why when you already have 2 T-birds?

Totally get your point.
We'll talk when I see you.

What’s funny to me is the people that go to great lengths to keep old MIJ guitars/basses original when they restore them.

I would much rather have a highly functional instrument than one that’s got 100% original parts, but won’t stay in tune or can’t be set up properly.

...because like me - you are a player. :bassist:

Since it is still T-shirt Sunday, I want to leave you all with one last thought of the day. Especially appropriate for this group.
