My second or third lesson, my teacher said "if you want louder, just turn the amp up". Wise man.
Other random bits of wisdom I have been given (not an exhaustive list):
  • A General is just a Major who made it through a war.
  • You get one complaint and four questions a year. Use them wisely.
  • Slow down. The board of directors aren't as smart as they think they are and you can't make them feel stupid.
  • Always ask for the order.
  • Figure out what people want and give it to them.

Neighbour annoyer...

My experience with medical marijuana has been that those promoting it are mostly (but not all) marijuana enthusiasts rather than medical enthusiasts. Same with those promoting psychedelics for psychiatric conditions.
Somehow I think you are on to something here. (Not on something, which is really different.) So I think you are saying that stoners are somewhat less likely to publish or even read medical journals, and the cat hanging out on the corner isn't a good source for medical advice...or something like that.

Choice 1 - get a steroid injection. things will improve very quickly and may stay that way for a long time. Can be repeated many times.
Choice 2 - get the surgery. the recovery is very fast and a plastic surgeon will hide the scars so that unless they are pointed out, no one will ever notice. It is absolutely curative.

Doing nothing is not an option. Over time, you will permanently damage the nerve and feeling will not return.
@KaraQ ^^^ This is really good advice.

And he's not a medical stoner.

I don't think. But have seen him with some pretty outrageous headgear.
