First is the cardboard box. Waste of materials, but whatever. Inside are two plastic packs. One with the 1st and 3rd string and the other with the 2nd and 4th.what's wrong with the packaging?

Lots of things. A Les Paul once sounded somewhat lavender to me. Deep purple? I can't think of anything off-hand.OK. Dig deep into yer mem'ry banks(insert Jeopardy theme). What sound did you hear that made you see purple?
yeah and seems like he favored Gibsons….used to seeing him with a Ripper…don’t think I’ve ever seen him with an FSO…. seen him with a Spector as well…And he rarely played with his fingers at least during the early days. He's a great pickstyle player. He's got that Andy Frasier tuba sound here. Polaris White EB-3's are really rare.

I think 00 would be a good number. The Tone Is In The Purple Silks Club (TTIITPSC) is now open for business!
Like buckshot or steel wool?I think 00 would be a good number.
My SG guitar looks like it's 53 years old. It's a 2005, but it's pounded. The finish is really thin, unpolished nitro that has faded to an odd dark pink. It doesn't seem like the finish is thick enough to check. There's all kinds of dents, but the finish hasn't worn through anywhere. The pickguard sure is beat up.Give it 53 years, it'll look just like mine.

With certain of my Birds these are really THE CHOICE strings to use, they have a strong mid presence that works quite well on some of my Birds. I didn't care for them on my '76s as that pickup design just makes so much Bass and lo mid that I lost definition.
I have them on my '89, Jackson and Lull IIRC, they're fantastic on the '89. They were way too much for the Greco though, again the pickup on that bass produces so much bass and lo mid in addition to being very hot that the combination was just too much.
