I really enjoyed the Netflix series called Pistol, about the Sex Pistols, in which Chrissie was a central character.
I’m sure it was not historically accurate, but are those things ever?

Well, it's a preamp. So I only use it when there's some house amp somewhere that has an FX loop. It's meant to replace the preamp du jour. In NYC it's always up to chance what you'll play through.

using the FX loop can place the preamp downstream from the preamp in the rig if you use the send signal into the input giving one more gain structure control...you are prolly talking about bass into preamp into pwr amp in right?..

Correct. Lots of amps I've played through don't have an FX loop at all, so I have to settle for what I can quickly find from its settings.
