Thunderbird Club

That Gear Exchange is Sweetwater's attempt at Reverb. So I guess that seller posted it in both places.
I guess that makes more sense. I was just under the assumption the Sweetwater listings were guitars in their possession not a listing service like Reverb.

OMG - that’s just creepy!
It’s like a 1970’s porn star in the land of Munchkins.

They needed that deal. At the time, AMC sales were terrible because the products were terrible. it was a means of staying in business.
absolutely, Chrysler put them outta their misery in 87(?) mostly for Jeep…..ironically my folks moved to Europe ‘round that time and my dad bought my mom one which were known as Renault 9 over there….

most don’t know it was actually AMC that negotiated the import of Renault (Alliance) into the US in the 80’s……:banghead:

My first Jeep, a 1987 Jeep Cherokee Laredo was purchased at an AMC Jeep Renault dealership. My second Jeep, a 1999 Wrangler TJ was purchased at a Chrysler Plymouth Jeep dealership. AMC/Jeep always had a couple of interesting vehicles in their line up in spite of being bounced around like a hot potato.

His number was even removed from the club roster in an effort to hide the fact. ;)

Been there, done that, and barely survived. Drove down from KY at the height of the season. By the time I got to Long Boat Key the car was completely covered in dead critter goop that was baked on by the sun and hard as a rock. Went to the local car wash, the line to get in stretched completely around the block. I almost skipped the wash but a local told me that if you leave them on for any extended time it’ll take the paint off the car. Two hours later I was back at long boat key. And got to repeat the ordeal every day for about a week. So much fun. Just glad I wasn’t driving my convertible at the time.
Or a motorcycle.

Nick always used Coke to clean the windshield; when I'd help him drive between Atlanta and Tampa, I started asking for plain carbonated water when we'd stop for a bite to eat. That was what cleaned the windshield, anyway, but it didn't leave the sticky residue. In a pinch, I'd use RC Cola. I wasn't about to drink it so it might as well have a use.
Used to love RC-'til they switched to corn syrup instead of sugar. Ralph.:vomit:
