Never tried the dual hanging stand because I was concerned it wouldn’t be as stable with only one bass in it. The single and multi stands I linked are Rock solid, very stable, work perfectly with a Tbird or any other shape guitar or bass and have never marred the finish of any of my nitro or other basses.

The Hercules dual hanger works great even with just one bass.

It wasn't as quick as a B52, but it was bigger! I always wanted to see one of those live. I've seen loads of B52s, but always want to see more. I remember watching them doing endless takeoffs, landings, and touch and gos in El Paso (and years later in Marietta, GA). I've been in the bomb bay of a SAC B52, but we weren't allowed in the cockpit. But we were allowed into the cockpit of a SAC KC35, and also into a freaking AWACS (with some things removed and/or covered). It was hard not to drool on the electronics. Circa 1989-1992.

We were the last people out of a C5 at the end of the day, and they started te engines up wit us 30-50 feet away past teh wingtip. You should try covering your small childrens' ears and yours at the same time while something that loud is that close! It was painful ... and glorious.

there’s one at the AF museum in Akron…..the tires on the rear gear must be 2 stories high……you walk and walk and see three or four fighters, turn your head and the 36 is there….you keep walking and see another four of five fighters, turn your head again and the 36 is still there! lol! no joke…. and on and on…..always had a soft spot for Consolidated …..ugly American functionality at it’s best….. many don’t know 50% more 24’s we’re built than 17’s…..

I watched derby every chance I got as a kid. The women made the men look like schoolkids out for a jaunt.

Consolidated made some cool stuff! I always thought of the Liberator as the Mitchell's big brother.

Channels 20 and 36. 44 was the high class of UHF.

LOL…UHF (upper channel at 833MHz) used to be an almost unattainable holy grail in comms……today 24Ghz (order of magnitude of over 25) chipsets used for radar on self driving vehicles is commonplace….

We also had wrestling on KTVU Channel 2, local Oakland station. Pepper Gomez, Pedro Morales, Pat Patterson, and the hated Ray Stevens. The Spoiler, Haystack Callhoun...ah, those were the days. You could write to the studio and get free tickets to come watch.

The cool thing about DH then was she was older and not pushing the 'sex symbol' thing - in fact, she was pretty low key about her appearance, like... whatever. I saw Nina Hagan a few times and she also had a great low-key self-image after many years as a wild and crazy 'mother of punk' icon.

yep, ABC, CBS, NBC….we had a local Miami channel as well………. to think that aside from “keeping the peace” these used to be airborne 24/7 acting as repeater stations for better coverage……

Our family colour TV circa 76 or 77 was a Rank Arena. Not sure if the US got those brands or if they were just aimed at Commonwealth countries.

I vividly remember my first Guinness Stout. I was 15 and we were in a park smoking angel dust and playing frisbee.
Someone showed up with some Guinness (warm as it should be) and I chugged one down. I swooned, almost puked lol and don't remember the rest of the day!!

That’s a challenging, but doable bass line. I worked on it a couple years ago. I need to return to it.

Jethro Tull at the Nassau Coliseum in 1974 ( Warchild Tour )was my first concert . I was 13. My mom waited in line with me for three hours to get tickets ! I sure miss my mom. Anyway I think Jeffrey Hammond Hammond was their best Bass player .

Yeah, not that much on TV in 1945. It was just starting to ramp up. I suspect El Paso/Juarez already had horse racing, roller derby, and bullfighting. By the time I was watching TV (late 50s) Saturday morning cartoons were already a Big Deal.

Cartoons were the "Life Coaches" for children in the day. And they worked. We all made it.
Oddly enough cartoons are for adults today. Not sure what that says.
