Mine are in line. One issue with that is when I loop the right angle cable through the strap it tends to ride right next to the tone knob. If you want to adjust that you have to slightly push the cable back. Not a problem as I'm not doing much turning on that one.
So you're saying you aren't bringing it if you visit Louisville....my 1540 cab comes in at 165 and my SVTII (non pro) top at 97 for a whopping 262 lbs! more than I weigh….only relegated to TBird West Coast GTGs and home parties…..
Well, there's a permanent Formula One track right in the heart of Montreal so our definition of good driving may differ.

IMO, it was a 'set filler' until they had more albums out. They still play it in concert, but shorter(not Wayne).

All pots are 500K ohm and tone caps are usually .047 (except on the Goth where it's .068, and except on my Goth where it's .022).
Spot on. I don't go out of my way for specific brand tone caps any more. They all seem to sound about the same when new. I suppose an oil cap could age different than an orange drop or ceramic cap, but even then the difference would probably be so gradual it wouldn't be noticeable for many years.A few special models/editions may be different, but afaik stock pots are generally 500k for Vol & Tone, with a .047 cap.
Older caps are generally orange drops, more modern ones are essentially the same, only a different color.

That pic always gets my head spinning. It's the only tone cap job I've seen where the tone cap is soldered across two pots. Usually, it's on the tone pot only.
And because mine's the other way, if I ever get another(2021), it'll get switched.
Definitely could have been monkeyed with. I often wonder. The bridge pickup has been replaced with what looks like a later 60s NR (according to Scott), or Epi of that time which were often chrome. Then again, Scott said he's seen mix matched parts on factory basses of that time.
The only thing I really don't like on that album is the long guitar solo, "Free Form Guitar", I never liked it even when it was new, in fact it was an automatic bypass (even on cassette). I will refrain from further bash-ment.

Virtually everyone that I knew that did moronic things when they were drunk were only less moronic when they were not drunk. I just excelled un being "unwise" at times!

I played in a low rent three piece band that used to do a lot of weddings during the 80's, we were cheap and used to play all the Knights of Columbus's, VFW's, etc and were really a rock band but the guitarist/singer had a really good voice and liked country so we'd throw in a few wedding-y type tunes like Eddy Arnold, Patsy Cline and other stuff like that to keep the people happy and rock most of the night, we never took it serious so we had a blast. Of course they knew what they were getting before they hired us. A hundred bucks each a night wasn't bad money back then.
