No BFD. 4 years Navy, I got used to 24 hour time. And it makes for fewer misunderstandings.

I do the same. 24hr clock just makes sense. It is a small adjustment at first, and might be related to the disorientation of basic training, but works so well. The radio guys would do time in Zulu (GMT)... that is confusing.

I have one on the G&L BABE below. To me it has a brightness in tone more like Maple. The grain is so tight and the wood so dense that it needs less care in some ways, unless played a lot or you have really sweaty hands. Or a really dry environment. I do treat mind maybe twice a year, but it doesn't change the color like treating rosewood. EB Wonder Wipes are fantastic and can be used on almost anything (per a conversation with a tech at EB, who said they use it that way).

That thing was pretty expensive, it was three or four hundred bucks when I bought it at least five or ten years ago, but it doesn't lose any bottom at all which is why I wanted it. You can even get an almost dead-on Mel Schacher grind out of it. They still make them I believe.

Careful though, they are addictive, I'm up to 3 (a Finally DI, an Underground Accelerator, and a Slampegg Bee), 2 for my gigboard and one for home. He's a great guy and stands behind his products. I babysat once for a friend years ago who waited tables at Alex Cooley's Electric Ballroom in Atlanta. She was supposed to get home by 2AM, but it was after 6AM when she got home. I was on the living room floor sound asleep. Turned out Johnny was playing that night. After his show, he came over to her section to hang out. He had a big briefcase full of illicit stuff; she wasn't even sure about half of what she'd done. I was impressed she'd found her way home. Apparently that was his MO. I'm impressed the cat lasted all those years.
