Fly to Cadiz and then a ferry to Tangiers. It's only a 3 hour trip including the transportation to the dock.
That can be remedied with a good set of flatwounds, no?They're very nice Thunderbirds. A bit lacking at the very bottom. But they're definitely Thunderbirds.
When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, Geddy Lee
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, Geddy Lee
Geddy Lee, Geddy Lee
Geddy Lee, Geddy Lee
Whisper words of wisdom, Geddy Lee

I was figuring we needed a ferry that could handle a van with all the axes.nah, Malaga to Tarifa….45 min hydrofoil across….faster, cheaper….View attachment 4806600View attachment 4806599
I got to listen and this really sounded great. A very sweet distortion that really wouldn't stand out as being distorted but add some texture. (Of course he's playing a bass hardly anyone has!) This is a very usable sound and not the typical buzzsaw most distortions produce. Reminds me of the Ashdown version of bass pre. Very pricey if you can find one.

Something like that could possibly make me rethink having a head, maybe even a cab. I doubt it, but maybe. That looks even nicer than mine but does it come with the power supply or not? It's not clear in the ad. Yeah buzzsaw distortion is pretty much square waves I think and sound like crap. The one I have goes all the way from clean to very distorted, I'm sure that one must too.

One on Reverb doesn't seem too bad--considering the others a much more expensive.

I remember seeing the Ashdown several years ago. Looks really impressive and flexible. And expensive if you can run across one!
I love chugging 8ths BTW, especially when I'm playing them and crowd's butts are moving.

Finally finished the clean up on the MM. not sure how they pitted the top bright work. No signs of moisture anywhere else. Also got some photos of the tubes. Not RCA, Sylvania.

Sorry, couldn't last more than 30 seconds with that. For several reasons. But I did get your point. A lot in those 30 seconds.

not now but go there (Costa del Sol) often as I have friends that feel like family there…..played at the NAVY BAR in Puerto Banus 6 nights a week for almost 7 years back in the 80's and early 90's…Are you in Spain? The architecture of those houses feels familiar.
Or gold perhapsYes here we are again. Suggestions for knobs are welcome. I need a little contrast. Loving chrome on a motorcycle leads me to picturing knurled steel knobs. What other ideas ya got ? Thank you.View attachment 4806692
