TT. First time getting this one out to band practice. I prefer my SITs and the action is too high on the jazz frets. Maybe I need to lower the saddles a bit or remove the shim under the bridge.

The fanned frets are multi scale, usually 37” on the low strings to 34” on the higher strings, so string choices are very limited. TI Jazz Flats and Payson Flats are about all I could find in a five string set. I don’t know if Payson makes standard 34” four string flat sets as well, but if they do they’re well worth the money, even more so for the folks in the Princess Fingers Club.

The very first album I ever bought for myself was Yes - Fragile (actually bought it at the same time as Pink Floyd DSOTM). To this day, every time I hear the song Roundabout it brings back so many memories. Great band, great players, great album, great times, great memories (same for DSOTM).
I spent hours outside on the back steps with a portable cassette stereo and my tube PA cum guitar amp, working on Roundabout on guitar. Notcherwolly, I never got close to having it down, but it was tons of fun trying. Grateful for my parents' and the neighbors' patience. We had 1/4 acre lots, but in spring in Augusta, GA, everyone had their windows open, and I wasn't being quiet.
DOSTM was a staple when it came out my senior year and the first few semesters in college (which was as far as I got).
So, yeah, two amazing albums I still love.

Agree, though I'm not too fond of the orchestrations on it. Squire's bass is way up in the mix which helps. "Astral Traveller" is probably the best cut.
Flash was OK, their bassist and main songwriter Ray Bennett had a great Ric sound too. Colin Carter the vocalist is an acquired taste, a bit like Dave Lawson in Greenslade (who I like more). Speaking of that band, the bassist Tony Reeves had a superb sound with his Telecaster bass and drummer Andrew MCulloch (ex- King Crimson and ex- Fields) is just amazing.
Despite what the header says the first three songs are mimed in the studio.
Pub quizz fact: that Telecaster bass was later sold to Tony's bandmate in Curved Air, a drummer named Stewart Copeland...he used it in his Klark Kent recordings for example.

They sounded interesting so I looked and didn't see any standard sets--since I like the sound of EBCFs but have this "condition."
