Maybe do what I did and start with Love & Theft. My favourite song on it is Po’ Boy. It makes me smile just a little.I wasn't fond of Tempest (song). Too countryish for me. I'll have to rehear the others as they aren't standing out.

Seems to be a seller that lists instruments they don't own. I've never understood why eBay allows that. One of my favorite basses ever.
But who knows what kinda shape its really in.
And a feed back of 63%![]()
Close but no cigar…
Welcome to the New Gibson Brands
…no bass pickup offerings
How hard would it have been to offer a ProBucker or a Tbird+ pickup, heck even a Gibson SG pickup might interest a few people.
Two white birds. You can see the difference in the shape of the VP and the bolt on body.

Subtle, but the bottom corners are a little more pointy on the bolt on. Top left bout is different shape aswell.
Who cares what he thinks. He's a bass roadie. If he ever makes it, then we'll pay attention, but not before.
I see where you have erred. You're thinking like bass is part of the band and are forgetting bass is there just to assist the guitar in sounding better. Therefore cool things like pickups and tone are not really needed.Close but no cigar…

I did a comparison between a CP and IV. I have a hard case for both. CP lower horn is bigger and total length is longer. CP won’t fit a IV fitted case. We’ll see if a VP fits an Epi case that comes with a CP. Body looks similar, so it will be down to the headstock. Two white birds. If referring to the HS, that’s always a possibility.Just take it off.![]()
One of the best sounding Js to me is Mike Levine (from Canada's best band). You have to get half way through before the bass comes in. The guitars sound thin...but the bass is wonderfully thick and bassy.
His playing and tone with Joni Mitchell wasn't like that.
Even with Weather Report.

What's the amp?

Cool color Kara.I've tried to like those, but the only Fender-y product (bass or otherwise) that I've found myself liking is:

My Gator case for the IV won’t take the CP.I've not had any problems interchanging most of my various Thunderbirds (CP, Pro 4/5, several bolt-ons) into the various Epi cases I have.
Except the VP.
It only fits in the newer-style (the ones currently? available new) case I have, because of the headstock......
