Thunderbird Club

..... an Allen wrench for is adjusting the truss rod.
I don't remember the size right off, .......

Any old hardware store. I think all you need is a 4mm. Someone will correct me if I have the wrong size listed.

Had my Thunderbird IV out this morning (wanted to run it through the "new" 215D :smug: ), and it needed a bit of truss rod adjustment (and the bridge too...... :rollno: ).
The Allen wrench that fits mine is 5/32", essentially a 4mm.

:)

I lived in Spain during the Peseta (duros, pelas, etc) and in France when they went from the Franc to the Euro but still don’t see how it affects the price of a refin unless folks still talk in pesetas which from my experience has not happened in decades….
It does still happen, not as much as it was before, but it does still happen. It's mostly to compare, people from my years and before mostly.

I have, and found the S1 switch to be very advantageous on a Precision.
For the added parallel switching? The tone is supposed to stay the same with less volume too, right?
The pitch was something along the lines of it will help make a Pbass sound kind of like a Jazz and a Jazz a little like a Pbass. Idiotic description. Marketing. It just made the Pbass sound thinner/brighter when depressed as opposed to normal. Seems like a good option to me, though I don't use it much. I never understood the griping. Don't use it if you don't like it. It's not that complicated of a decision.

Tis the season, Christmas ideas for the bass player with everything…

Nope, not my cuppatea. Probably doesn’t do guitar or bass very well. Can’t even imagine how you set the neck relief.

That bass uke however, is very tempting!…

A 22.5” bass ukulele with VP pickups might be very tempting, especially in this violet color and with the semi hollow thin line look…

I thought the S1 switch was kind of cool when I test a couple of basses back then. Not sure why people hate on it, you don't HAVE to use it if you don't want to. In a few years those basses will be all the rage on TalkBass and people will be lauding them for their unique sounds.
You know the GP of TB all too well!
