Not subtly at all. LET'S DO THIS!
Ken, I used to like and think highly of you. That was prior to spending $31 on a set of Power Wounds and Foundations this morning following your shameless insistence.:D

Found a good price of $14.99 for the PWs and $20 for the Foundations at GimmeSomeStrings, and had a 10% discount. Will report back as soon as I get a change to install after arriving.

Your sacrifice for the cause will long be remembered, Donnie.

I’ve heard that the great thing about turkeys or chickens in the yard is they will find and eat every last tick and spider. If that’s true it could be good to have them around.
Until you have to deal with all the broken plants and turkey :poop:. If they just stayed in the pasture…

I can confirm from painful personal experience the tick aspect is likely myth, or the ones we have are lazy or don't stay long enough. Possibly if kept in a pen it would be tick free. Won't even mention where my last tick was. That one was a weirdo!

Chickens are ruthless when it comes to bugs, including really big ones. My daughter has a video of a tarantula in her yard and her livestock guardian dogs just backing away from it. A hen runs in and snatches it up and runs off to eat it. Fearless.

Happy Thanksgiving as well!

Have you tried Dunlop nickel Super Brights on the Thunderbird by chance? I liked the Rotos 66 and tried a few more but man was I impressed even more by the Dunlop SB. Just asking because I’m a little new with basses and want to have some more insight.

I should have explained a little more, starting in the late 1990's early 2000's, I went on a string quest and tried just about every string that was available back then, well not every but many different strings both flats and rounds. I had used Rotos since about 1972 until the mid 90's when I started getting dead E strings. I first switched to Blue Steels, then to DR Sunbeams, also used a lot of La Bella DTF on various basses. Finally a year or two ago I tried some more Rotos (Swing bass 66's) and it was like going home . I actually use mutes a lot and/or palm mute and can get close to the various flat wound sounds, big and fat with fingers or deep but clicky with a pick or take off the mutes and the things still roar and I really like the rough feel and sound. So I came full circle but spent a lot of money getting there. In other words, I can play a slow blues then get an Entwistle type sound with the same bass and settings. They last a lot longer now than they used to too, not sure if I play softer or they're just made better, probably a little bit of both. I have never found a string that quite sounds like a Rotosound Swing bass. Scott @godofthunder59 put in a video the other day and I picked them out on his bass.

Ahhh, becoming one with nature, usually precedes becoming one with the ceramic throne. :D
Seriously, somebody that wasted shouldn’t be left laying on their back.

First time I got wasted when I was a kid, I passed out in bed and vomited in my sleep, I'm lucky, all over everything, bed, pillow, floor etc. Gin and root beer . I stole it from my parents. I was sick for a couple of days. Never drank gin again, I couldn't even drink root beer for at least several years afterward, just the smell would make me gag. Actually I'm still not crazy about root beer and I loved it when I was a kid.
