Thunderbird Club

Way back I used to really be into the whole mix and match thing.
I’m happy with one rig that can do it all.

So, is that rig any good?

I bet it sounds fantastic.

I like things simple. But did love my old Peavey Mk head. The channels were very different and great when blended, which is what I did 90% of the time.

This one is a hidden gem.

Hi

advice wanted please

I have a young student who is full noise on rock music. His parents want to buy him a new bass for Xmas

I can get a second hand Epiphone Thunderbird here in NZ. Any options on their merits? Thanks
Hard to go wrong. If it has a bolt on neck, make sure the upper strap button is at the heel of the neck. That is pretty much the only issue.

I had young parents so I was exposed to Fleetwood Mac early, like 4th grade. Love them. An all time favorite, “Hypnotized” is a song that I feel was way ahead of its time.

They played that when I saw them in Nov 73. Live in the Omni (and, shall we say, senses enhanced) it was truly hypnotic. It took me to some pretty cool places.

I need to buy a tuning device, what would you guys recommend it's best: the ones that clip on the headstock or the ones that you insert the cable into the device to tune? Which is best or more precise?
I’ve find that as much as I love the clip on ones with the Korg or Peterson being the most precise, they don’t handle the low E and B strings on a bass as well as a standard pedal format tuner, those are 10x quicker to tune those bass strings acurately.
