Yes.., someone f'd with it! The original sound/result if wired correctly leaves the two controls as joint bass/treble per pu - full clock-wise more treble, full counter-clockwise more bass. Both sort-of V&T mixed into one pot per pu. The original schematic is on my thread.
It appears to be a high pass filter on the bridge PU and a low pass filter on the neck PU. Do you find it useable that way?
The 100k pots don’t seem to load down the pickups too much. At least it doesn’t sound muddy in the demos.

What would be your thoughts on this one?

If the headstock is stable, then you don't need to worry about the repair. But without having it in hand, its difficult to judge. The price is okay for one in that condition (There are others listed for more with a lot more wear), but not great. It does say "make offer' so if you really like it, try negotiating.

These don't have volume & tone controls so it has one sound. They can be a bit more aggressive in a playing situation than they are in your living room, which is good. Some people don't care for the Kill-switch-only option, but I didn't mind it. My current BlackBird was modified by a previous owner to be vol-vol, but I added a kill-switch because I like those.

It's vintage. The pic was from the seller, and yes it did and it was addressed. The guy was just a hobby player and I don't think ever did any maintenance on it. Just played it on occasion.

It's a nice one! :bassist:

Any the search continues. lol. Thank you

It’s a nice looking Sixx but those are very unique basses - no volume or tone control - just pure off and on.

I’d take this Greco over the Sixx any day of the week, plus it’s almost a hundred dollars less…

Sweet!

I'm staying away from that shop since it's in Brooklyn.
No dollars anyway in this mans pockets.

Just sell one of those low mileage kidneys and be done with it!

Some here used the TC Electronic Spark Booster if I recall correctly. Has anyone tried the TC Electronic MojoMojo overdrive?
I'm again on a quest for a relatively low cost overdrive for bass and that has got some great reviews. I love the Bad Monkey but sometimes I feel it would work better in a "stereo" setup or in parallel. If I had it on all the time then I could of course make up for the slight low end loss.
How low-cost are we talking? I have a Crazy Tube Circuits Planet B Plus that I think is excellent. They're made in Greece, if that means anything to you. You might also consider MXR's stuff.
