Marshall is @MCF and it’s his birthday today, so wish him a great one!
And he doesn't like to show his face after those stories we concocted.....

Ugh. Just ugh. Out here, Fed Ex is better than UPS in my experience. Anything UPs from out of state to SoCal goes through the gang controlled, drug infested goes through

No. Not until next month.
Well, if your birthday isn’t until next month I guess I’m forced to retract my well wishes, and reapply them two fold at the appropriate time!

Or at the very least, the size screws used.
The other less than ideal design “feature” of the Eppi Claw is the very small flat bottom not much wider than the screw hole…

A flat bottom and larger screws like Warwick uses would be a better design…

…for the OCD crowd - note the balls all perfectly in line!
But the screws aren't. I'm sorely disappointed. :roflmao:

For those if you with two VPs, why? Different strings giving different sounds?
You're seriously asking why more than one bass even of the same kind? Are you OK? Dehydrated?
Simple. One is not enough.:p

My second was kind of an accident. I think it was Ken that noticed one used online and I was dumb enough to click on it. Once you click, you're in.... It was listed (GC) at a Classic but the pic was of a VP. Wasn't sure what I was going to get for $399 shipped. I would have contacted them once it arrived about it being worth more, but it had a slight neck crack and and a ding on the back edge. No way they didn't see or know if even casually looking it over, so I kept the great deal. The crack is not a issue and has been fine for years. String tension works to keep it closed not opened up, which would be concerning.

To your question: I currently have GHS Precision flats on the White VP and an old set of SIT exposed cores on the burst. Normally boomers sound great and are on the white on. Tried the flats and was really impressed. That's my situation.

Humm... I've had damaged goods insurance settlement fights with both - but FedEx was worse in my experience.
