Thunderbird Club

This is the second time FedMess has lost an item. First time it was a phone. That was comical (bot not at the time), and evoked the saying of my dad in that they "couldn't grab their butt with both hands." They lost it, found it, lost it, a week later said they delivered it at a really early time and argued they did. Told them there is a camera on the porch that said otherwise and one on the drive that says the truck was never even in the street or drive. I've had a day or so delay with UPS and USPS, but that's it. If I sell something I use the post office.

Fedmess will be initiating a claim today if they don't find the package, according to my case worker, or whatever she is called.
Worst thing FedEx did to me was leave the box which said Fender in really big letters ( oh no not too effing tempting) right in the middle of my lawn !!! Obviously taking it to the front or garage door was too taxing.

Hey, my balls are all nice and shiny and neatly lined up in a row. I wasn’t about to pull out my tool to screw one of the fasteners a quarter turn to the right. Feels to me like the fasteners are securely biting into good hard wood, so why mess with a good thing.

Can I get a big Ahem!
You can, since that seems to cross the line into TMI territory.

We did have one drop off boxes at the garage door (not where we indicated) and backed right over them not knowing anything was there. Not the edge of the door--right where a tire would be exiting the garage. Then there is the driving in yard to turn around. (If it's not paved--it ain't for trucks......)

Beautiful place, by the way!

I’ve played fairways in private country clubs that didn’t look that nice. If I was your FedEx guy I’d bring a wedge and ball with every delivery. :thumbsup:

They threw a case of chocolate over our farm fence and into the pasture even though there is a barrel at the gate with a massive sign saying animals love to open boxes so put deliveries in the barrel. Fortunately, the dogs only made it through the outer box….

Yeah, I should clarify. The claw/tailpiece did not pull out. The screws 'holding' the claw/tailpiece did, however.:thumbsdown:
'Nother update: Put a set of EBCFs(45-105-?)offa(???)*on the Embassy-part deux. Sound good, feel great. I'll use them for awhile then get a new set.:bassist:
BTW, checked all the 'fastenings' on the bass. Everything that's s'posed to be tight is, so that's a good thing.:hyper:
Now I can let the 67 stay safe at home 'cept for special occasions.:thumbsup:

* I never cut strings I remove. Save 'em-just in case.:unsure:
Except one set of GHS Brite Flats :spit::thumbsdown:

Once you get it all sorted out I think you’re gonna love it. The embassy is a tad darker sounding than the VP (possibly because of the pup spacing) but the EBCF strings put some zing back in. I think it’s wired Vol/bal/tone but you could easily switch that to a vol/vol/tone if you wanted to. Here’s to enjoying a new bass:thumbsup:
