I finally got a Pneck for my Eppi Goth, just have to get some Gotoh tuners, and about 10 days out for the luthier.

I won't have any use for the Eppi neck. However, I have no idea what it is worth. It does have a dent on the side of the board by the nut, and a fret that needs polishing which I'll have looked after, or I can sell as is. PM me with recommendations, or discuss here, I'm good either way,

Loved the 'subtle' "bullets" on the '55 grille.

Yeah, those bullets are ridiculous. Now they were tasteful on the '58 below A buddy of mine had a '58 Buick Special when I was a kid and would have sold it to me for fifty bucks, don't remember why I didn't buy it. 364 V8. Coincidentally another friend of mine had a really nice jet black Thunderbird with a blown transmission and would have also sold it for fifty bucks. Fifty bucks was the going rate for old cars not in tip top shape when I was a kid. I bought my first car, a ten year old '61 2 door Chevy Impala for $275.00, it was in the front row of a car dealer and I took out my first loan on it, with my father as a cosigner.

Ya'll are slipping, I thought someone would've spotted the AC/DC signed guitar. The Led Zeppelin signed one is a little tougher to make out.

As soon as I quit drooling over the Tele modern player I spotted the AC/DC guitar.
Our tastes are similar, my AC/DC guitar, (sorry, musta used Mikes camera)…

Unfortunately no LZ signed guitars, but I do have a ZZTop guitar signed by the band and pinstriped by Billy…

…And an Alice in Chains in the collection as well.

Awesome! I also have Eagles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, and a bass and guitar signed by Paul McCartney. Seems we both got some decent investments.

I need to plan a trip to Finland, hear you play and talk music. We live a world apart. We would be good friends if we lived closer. Such is the way with this club. There are so many of us with the same interests and tastes. It really is amazing.

I have two friends in Oz (Geoff and Kat) who I’m anxious to meet in person. And three in Finland. One or two in the Netherlands. Not to mention Bob, the Expat in Brazil. I’ve met and bonded with Jeff in NY. We’re bros. I need to meet Ken in Brooklyn. And Scott, Bryan, Roger, Andy, Instagator, Mark and so many others. And of course Irv in Vancouver. THIS CLUB IS AWESOME.

I’d love to meet Mike in Florida. But I’ll never go there. And he’ll never come to Cali. My Family dodged a huge bullet when my Dad quit a Job in ‘68 rather than move to the Cape (Cocoa Beach) when I was a kid.

We had a small US west (best) coast GTG last summer. Great people and a whole lot of fun. Meeting in person is special.

George and I are close enough that we’ve (and my wallet) met twice. He’s a great guy. His bass room is to die for!

I’ve met Kara once. It was great!! She sold me two TBirds! And we know how knowledgeable she is. We need to get her to the next GTG.

Bottom line. I’ve gotten so much from this club that there is no way I can pay it all back. But if anyone is headed to SoCal, let me know. We’ll leave the light on for you. You’re always welcome.

Marshall, you’re one in a million! Funny thing is there’s quite a collection of one in a million folks in this club. Our Queen has created something special here.

Awesome! I have an Eagles as well, from when Meisner and Walsh were in the band. Stones, Floyd and LZ would be too cool to have. Sir Paul is quite a catch, I don’t have that one either, but I do have a John Entwistle.

Just remembered, I have Ozzy as well.

I can’t disagree re 70s American Prog. Although some post Santana, pre Perry Journey is good. So are the first couple BOC albums. Other than that, prog in America was pretty much second rate to the Yes, ELP, King Crimson, and Genesis of the era.

Kansas did develope a sound of their own 'though and Ambrosia's first two albums have some unique proggy moments.
Happy The Man had a cool twist to their mostly instrumental prog. Kit Watkins has one of my favourite Mini-Moog tones ever.

On the more experimental end of progressive rock a band called The Muffins started out as a sort of Canterbury* sounding combo and evolved into their own thing.

*Hatfield & The North, Soft Machine etc.

Any thrift store will probably have LPs for next to nothing cost-wise. You could grab a couple and experiment and probably only be out a few bucks tops.

We went over to Flagstaff frequently while our son went to NAU. He stayed there for a few years after he graduated but moved back here in about 2014. I miss those trips.

Our daughter attended NAU as well. Stayed for a couple of years after she graduated, so we made quite a few drives to Flagstaff. Pretty country up north.
