You totally need it.

I mean, you've got a rack that holds 3 basses, right? That means you need four basses - one to play, three for the rack........

Have 4 and picking up #5 Sunday and #6 if I ever get to India and back…going to need another rack.

That's perfect then! Buying-new-rack time is and excellent time to make sure you have enough basses, so you'll have a better estimate of how much rack you need!
You'd hate to buy a rack that'll be too small in just a week or two?

Well we used to tune by ear. At the best of times string instruments are only so accurate.

I used a tuning fork. I think I still have it in the acoustic guitar case….

But my ear has returned pretty much after going on hiatus for some years.

It’s 4 cheap Chinese single string bridges on an 1/8” aluminum plate.

I’m on a quest to find new screws. If I strike out, that seems like a viable option. It’s not like I need to worry about keeping the bass original.

I like Hipshot. Great company. But they are slow at times depending on where they’re at in production of various parts. I waited so long for tuners I ordered through Best Bass Gear (because I had a 10% or %15 coupon) that I pretty much forgot I had ordered them when they finally arrived. It was well worth the wait though as the MIM Mustang I ordered them for is now a great little bass. The Hipshot quality makes a huge difference.

My son busted me on the BaCH. Right now it’s upstairs at the house in the burbs where I’ve set up a work station (my company supplied an IKEA like desk and a nice chair; it was actually good of them to do that) because my wife commandeered the home office. He saw it was a different bass. I’m impressed that he noticed.

My wife can’t tell the difference. She’s good about it though and knows my bass money is there for me to be ready to pounce when good things are presented.

I did not realize Graph Tech was a Canadian company. The nut I ordered the other day for the BaCH shipped via Canadian Post. We’ll see if it takes as long to get to Cali from Canada it as it took for the first Genzler pedal Donnie ordered to get to him.

In the meantime, the Slinky 55-110 suspension bridge cables will do. I’ve always liked how Slinkies play, the tone (they’re what Nikki uses) and the fairly smooth feel of them. And now I remember they stretch a lot. And I did my stretch routine when I put them on. I need to tweak the TR a bit again.

Canadian Post and the USPS are carriers I trust far more than others who will remain nameless. I ordered a brick of maple drumsticks from a company called HeadHunters in Canada, and they arrived in less than a week. No issues. You can't buy the sticks I like in the US, so I get them direct every so often.
