Thunderbird Club

How I hate FedEx - I bought a HSC on eBay and it was to be delivered today. Luckily I was home so I put a yellow post-it note on the door reading: I'm home - please ring doorbell - do not leave package unattended. I luckily saw a FedEx truck pull away out front and opened my door to find it left 'unattended'. (doorbell was not rung) So I tried to find a FedEx customer complaint email on line... hah. There isn't one.

Something new - FedEx now includes a pic with their email confirming delivery. Please note the yellow post-it note ~

Anyway - the case is cool. It's supposedly from the '70s, fits Fender P's & J's and a few of my other basses, including my Grass Roots/ESP Bass IV and med-scale '64 Burns of London (just). No GSO's though...

You need a bigger note.
What brand HSC?

Doubt that would help - the drivers just don't give a :poop:. <(I think that's the 1st time I've used that ...) Seller didn't say and there's no tag/badge on it. It's a very cool case w/unique hardware & leather handle. No oder/smells either and it's relatively light but feels pretty sturdy. It's textured/weave-pattern vinyl is similar to what's on vintage Ampeg amps.

Given it's a one off, and a gorgeous color, it's a good price.
I’ve always liked that shade of green. Like the Adam Clayton sig Jazz that I think Fender called Sherwood Green. Almost bought a used one for a nice price at the Hollywood GC about five or so years ago. I hemmed and hawed for awhile over it. I ultimately passed on it because it was a J Bass. It would have just hung on the wall.

TSC's will be performing here this Sunday at 8pm - The Hotel Utah in SF, built in '08 after the '06 earthquake/fires. Folklore has it that upstairs was a brothel at one time. Played there a few times with different bands over the years, but not for years. It was closed during Covid and has new management. In the mid '90s they had a music series called The Dark Circle Lounge on Tuesday nights and I went every week. It was where I first saw/heard Nels Cline. It's a cool place to play - very old-school SF. (pic's from Wiki)

Is that built 1908? I’m assuming not 2008.

Hey, @Chucky Stiletti how about your schedule :) and anyone else playing in NorCal???

I only play a doctor on TV. You might want to talk to a sports doctor. You know what medical advice on the Internet is worth.

I get it, and have been to one, but finding one who can talk to fretting hand issues and whether fret board radius, nut with, or neck taper/thickness are more important im my situation makes me think I need one who is also a bassist...

Hey guys..I’m not a ranter. At least I hope I’m not.
I understand supply chains and less than competent employees striving for the absolute minimum.
I’m updating my stripped tuner(s)issue with the new 23 Burgundy Sparkle NR that someone here made me buy by posting very seductive pictures :) Those persons will remain nameless.
After going through Sweetwater(Very helpful) Gibson sent replacement tuners today.

Which one is not like the others?
I mounted the tuner and sent a W*F email to SW.
To their credit they were appalled.
Stand by for updates . I’m returning you to your regularly scheduled program.

I would like a Thunderbird this color:
Invalid Link Removed
Rally Green. It looks very similar to the color Gibson put on the Mod Shop NR.

Closest I recall is a chiropractor who has posted in the GP. He talks more about posture and spine related topics as far as I recall. What you need to find is a bass or guitar ortho who specializes in hand and carpel tunnel issues.
