Thunderbird Club

Hey guys..I’m not a ranter. At least I hope I’m not.
I understand supply chains and less than competent employees striving for the absolute minimum.
I’m gonna update my stripped tuner(s)issue with the new 23 Burgundy Sparkle NR that someone here made me buy by posting very seductive pictures :)
After going through Sweetwater(Very helpful) Gibson sent replacement tuners today.

Which one is not like the others?
I mounted the tuner and sent a *** email to SW.
To their credit they were appalled.
Stand by for updates and I’m returning you to your regularly scheduled program.

I get it, and have been to one, but finding one who can talk to fretting hand issues and whether fret board radius, nut with, or neck taper/thickness are more important im my situation makes me think I need one who is also a bassist...
Good idea. My eldest was a swimmer and water polo player (D1) and had shoulder issues. Wasn’t until she found an orthopedist that was a former D1 swimmer that she was told exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. Turned out it wasn’t a shoulder issue but an imbalance between the muscles on the front and back of shoulder. Common with sprinters.

Jeez. You are Mr. Unlucky. And I didn’t believe you before when you insinuated as much. But it will get sorted out. And you’ll love the TBird.

Hah! Yes, 1908! home

I would like a Thunderbird this color:
Invalid Link Removed
Rally Green. It looks very similar to the color Gibson put on the Mod Shop NR.

Like this one...........:D

Are there any orthopedists here? What would the appropriate forum be to ask a bass related question about lumbrical and adduct or policis issues?
Someone that’s probably worth reaching out to is @PillO
He’s a club member here but hasn’t posted in a couple of months. He’s been in the medical field for some time, I don’t think he’s a Doctor but he has a lot of medical resources at his disposal and has experience with aches and pains associated with bass playing.

How I hate FedEx - I bought a HSC on eBay and it was to be delivered today. Luckily I was home so I put a yellow post-it note on the door reading: I'm home - please ring doorbell - do not leave package unattended. I luckily saw a FedEx truck pull away out front and opened my door to find it left 'unattended'. (doorbell was not rung) So I tried to find a FedEx customer complaint email on line... hah. There isn't one.

Something new - FedEx now includes a pic with their email confirming delivery. Please note the yellow post-it note ~

Anyway - the case is cool. It's supposedly from the '70s, fits Fender P's & J's and a few of my other basses, including my Grass Roots/ESP Bass IV and med-scale '64 Burns of London (just). No GSO's though...

Asking a little much aren't you?

Pure sarcasm and not to be taken seriously. I'm glad it arrived and works well. Fedmess makes it nearly impossible to talk to someone who knows more than you can look up on the website.

Drop E tuner?
Custom NR?

It can be anything you want. But how that happens is a real head scratcher. How does a person not notice that?

Hah! Everyone looks pretty badäss other than me! That was from our first show with Kirstin in '18 (2018 ;)). She is due in May with Umi's new sister so she's likely to dress more... comfortably, or differently comfortable for our Hotel Utah show on Sunday. :) :bassist:

Hey, Rihanna isn't the only woman to PWP - 'perform while pregnant'!

This is across the board now with huge corporations. Facebook is another. FTR, Reverb is very good with public relations. I recently had someone commit to "buy" a bass and then vanish. (needless tp say before it was shipped) I contacted Reverb and it was dealt with the same day. If you can't contact a company if an issue occurs - this should not be legal.

In the bay?! Bay of Japan?;)

Hey, as long as the shipping is free it can be from any bay it wants.:D
The operative word is “need”…. :smug: “want” is a whole different story.
As it is I really don’t “need” two thirds of the basses I already have, so adding another wouldn’t be wise; cool or fun yes, but not wise.
