Thunderbird Club

One of those kinda rare times when a cover is actually better than an already great original!
Ale makes me want to get out my Spectors more often. Hmmmm, a Spector with Tbird pups and a HazLab preamp, might be interesting. I might have to start a search for a nice used Legend 4X as the mod platform.

Spector did build a one-off with a Tbird pickup.

Sweet Spector Rex5 Pro Tbird on Musicgoround at a decent price. Possibly a rare color as well…

I believe red is a rare color for these. You usually only see black or Holoflash in the wild.

Our new drummer for Who's That doesn't have a gong, so I decided to take matters in my own hands. Paiste 32", I'm still sorting out the stand. Every bass player needs a gong right? View attachment 4985160
I have a brake drum, a bunch of metal things to hit, rototoms, and some other things to bang and make noise. But no gong. It's a failing. Everyone needs a gong, not just bass players and drummers. Brake drums are great, too, but for different things.

New project parts coming together. I'm thinking maybe no on the neck, maybe all black. Also wondering about installing toggles for the coil taps, don't know if it's worth the effort? Opinions?

I would do the coil taps (at least the neck pickup) with a push/pull pot. I find it useful on my Les Paul Tribute.
Agreed no on that neck:D

I don’t have permission to see it either. Could it be a sign? Jeff recently mentioning he might want one again and now you getting another one is giving me GAS again. And I thought that was in the past having tried several and not finding one that felt right. I really need to resist.

Congratulations!

Thanks! The difficulty with Ric is that like Thunderbirds they can all be a bit different. Its tough to try them in person. I realized I prefer Rics from 85-97. I like the necks, string spacing an build quality. YMMV.
