Now that’s more like it! I’m gaining weight just looking at those pictures.
Baklava and Shortbread my two food weakness’s!
….(well actually I’m a sucker for Seafood, Prime Beef cuts, Lamb, Veal, Chicken, Pork, Ostrich, Bison, Boar, Alligator, Fresh Water Fish, and just about any other form of non insect or plant based protein).
Rattlesnake?

For those of you that know of such things.....

These are installed backwards/wrongly?
Or are incorrect parts?
It will maybe cause problems?

Or is the poor fitment because they're aftermarket replacements?

....the others appear to have been installed correctly?

I've been looking into these a bit more, looks like the mj15004 part (the ones that look/fit wrong) is incorrect, but the other four, the mj15003, is the correct replacement for the original sj6357 parts?

I'm wondering if that's not the reason for the burnt out part I just replaced?

I'm thinking it may be best to just swap out the 15004 for the correct parts.......

I listened to all the 2015 samples I could find, and, for me, couldn't hear a need for the coil tap switch. That said, possibly the neck pickup, but for sure not the bridge. I had the same experience with my Roscoe SKB 3005 with coil taps, never use them, both coils on all the time. My SushiBox pedals add all the different characters I need.
Pretty much my experience with on board switching as well. Basses I have that have series/parallel switching stay in series mode 90% of the time. Likewise, Basses I have that have humbucker/single coil switching stay in humbucker mode 90% of the time. I’m not a big pedal user, but I’ve noticed some pedals play better with single coil vs humbucker feeds, so that could be a plus for some people.

I HIGHLY recommend SushiBox pedals to those who have solid state rigs, they add tube flavor to both humbuckers and single coil PUPs.

Actually, I was kinda liking that Squier Jazz with humbuckers…

It would match your new project ;)

I have an older model (it's a 2020 by the s/n; it doesn't have the "sculpted heel"), in a different color.

The one I put the Sadowsky pre-amp in?

I like the more Thunderbird/Soundgear like neck, with it's 12" radius

Mine is, I would say, heavy-ish, about 10.6 lbs.

Rattlesnake?
Been there, done that. Along with scorpion, duck embryos, duck tongue, duck feet (and every other part of a duck), squirrel brain, Rocky Mountain oysters, catfish cheeks, horse, roasted eel… the list goes on and on. I did a ton of international travel my last 15 years of work, and you pretty much just ate what everybody else was eating. I’m sure there was also a degree of “Let’s see if the American guy will eat this” going on.

That really is a sweet looking jazz, love the satin black finish also!
No tort, dual humbuckers, 12” radius neck - it’s sounding more Gibson by the minute.
I just might put out for the shoreline Gold active jazz, I have an assortment of spare preamps that might go well in it (East, Audere, Aguilar, Spector, Demeter, Bartolini… and maybe a couple of others.

......, duck embryos, .........

How are those different from duck eggs? Non-fertilized?

Well, as an Apprentice Enabler, I recommend you get it ;)

Especially since it will go well with the other gold basses you have......

I don't really know what they sound like stock, mine was also a "blem", sorta, as the electronics were bad.
But I do really like the sound of the stock pickups with the Sadowsky pre-amp

I won’t post pictures for fear of grossing people out, but for those with a cast iron stomach here’s the wiki page on soft boiled duck embryos or “Balut” as the locals in Manila called it. Some street vendors pack the eggs in mud or sand, I was told the ones we had were packed in cow dung for 19 days as a way to incubate the eggs at the proper temperature. Really wasn’t bad tasting, kinda like chicken noodle soup, but certainly not for the faint of heart at first glance (same goes for the wiki page).

I’ve always kinda liked trim rings on the NR neck pup, especially with the dual pup layout. Just looks beefier and better balanced to my eye.
You suggested I do it. And my OCD got the best of me. I think it looks a lot better. Finishing final tweaks to the setup now. This is a really nice Thunderbird. Thank you George for passing it on to me.

Way better - the pg route for the pu isn't conforming to the corners and is now hidden. I would have done the same.

Every time I have been sedated I say something strange. Sometimes on purpose, sometimes not. One time after a upper endo and a colonoscopy I was told not to do any strenuous activities for the rest of the day. I told the nurse that was a shame because I was supposed to participate in a break-dance competition that afternoon. I fully remember saying it, but no clue why that popped into my head or out of my mouth.
go Andy!…..
funny stuff..
