I really enjoy the logo on the pick guard of the bird on the left! :smug:

A Yugo? Damn, won't that fall apart on you on the road while driving?
It’ll fall apart when you first get in. Some friends of ours bought one shortly after they came out. The first time they got in the car after driving it home, a side (wing) mirror fell off. The next time they used it, part of the door handle broke and that door no longer opened from the outside. It was a clown car, but none of us were amused.

The Soviet Bloc communists never built good cars. Not a political statement ,just fact.

When I played, I don't recall any women's teams. I find it odd that women want to play such a rough sport. And I am equally mystified by women's MMA. But, if that is what they want to do, that is their choice.

The aftergame kegger is fun for the "singing".

1. Ahem
2. It was always fun to tell people that my dad was a hooker. I was not a hooker; I played wing.

Women’s and girls sport is going well here. Semi Pro comps in soccer (ok football), T20 cricket, AFL and NRL. Rugby Sevens has an international pro tour and is played at the Olympics these days.
At the amateur and kids levels the girls and women are supplying the participation growth.
Rugby League has non contact versions in “Touch Footy” and “Tag” which are popular, touch has been around since the 70s maybe longer, and Tag probably 20years, and a Nines version that gets used in developing nations (in a RL sense). Rugby and Rugby League both have wheelchair versions, and Rugby League also has a version for other disability athletes. Comedian (Australian born England resident) Adam Hills has done a bit of promotion on that game and plays for Warrington ? in the English competition. There are some promo style videos on YouTube.
At the recent RL World Cup there were Mens, Womens, Wheelchair and disabled competitions all happening which was a first. Adam Hills was eligible for both England and Australia in the disability comp, chose Australia but I think England won that one.

We are having the hottest stretch in Autumn for 20 years. I guess we are balancing your weather!

Today is 35c now, on the way to 38c at my place. My little efforts cleaning up out side are really a struggle. I do 30 - 60 mins then come inside to the A/C and some cold water and have a bludge for an hour or more… then back outside.

38c is 100.4 f, and it isn’t summer anymore. My footy team was up in Brisbane last night. According to the commentators at the start of the second half the temp has dropped a bit but humidity has risen to 82%. My team faded in the last 10 minutes worst luck, but I would have faded just sitting in the grandstand.

I'm about 8 weeks out from my first show back after the covid break....... What basses to bring?!
Go big or go home. The '64, of course! That thing needs to have a gig and you need to experience what it does at a gig. Unless there are concerns about it still being your bass after the show. Safety first!

Edit: I misunderstood your post.

They used to put diesel engines in cars out here because gasoline was so expensive and the air got really polluted, you could actually see the black fumes hanging in the air on certain avenues. They became really strict and I don't believe you can do that here anymore, a lot of the newer cars have been converted to natural gas and the air has been transformed, quite a difference. It's probably LNG, I've never asked.
Lima is surrounded by mountains and the coast, the mountains trap the air and it has its own microclimate so when it trapped the pollution it was really bad here.
Just like LA.
