tb+ are bigger. You’ll have a pretty big gap all around if you don’t use rings.

Thanks. Actually I'm not taking TB plusses out but bought a pair and will install them to this bass:

Those pickups are slightly larger than MM's so rings for the TB+'s would look more "fulfilling".
So I was wondering if those aftermarket rings will fit the TB plus pickup? Or are there any especially made for those?

Go big or go home. The '64, of course! That thing needs to have a gig and you need to experience what it does at a gig. Unless there are concerns about it still being your bass after the show. Safety first!

It's a nice venue with good sound but the stage is just a bit on the small side and the new singer is a bit too exuberant in her movements at times so the '64 is out for this show, most likely will play it in Oct for halloween though.

Dinner tonight. Homemade by my son in law. We’ll see if it comes close to his mother’s.

Nice. I had Mjadra on Friday during lunch. I was owed a lunch so my mate took me to a local (to work) Lebanese restaurant for St Patrick’s Day. Oh well, close enough. I don’t get too picky when it’s a free lunch. :D

Like it. My son in law’s restaurant chain used have it on the menu but took it off as it wasn’t popular in Bangalore. No accounting for taste.

Just got in a little while ago from the second St. Patty's day gig in 2 days. I'm ready to take a short break from corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes, at least for a coupla days. Both gigs over by 2130. Love playing for old(as me)pharts-home by 2200. :hyper: Now I can drink.

Funny the American versions of things. I guess from your perspective it’s funny the Australian versions.

We never say St Patty. Patty is a girls name, short for Patricia. We would say St Patrick OR St Paddy’s Day - short for the Irish Padraig (which gets Anglicised to Patrick). The corned beef and cabbage thing is known here and done but not in a big way. More likely to get an Irish Stew, or a Beef & Guinness Pie (or casserole at times) served on a bed of mashed potatoes and often gravy, sometimes lamb shank/s served in a bed of mashed potato and with a pool of gravy.

In Australia, St Patrick’s Day is regarded by the Catholic Church here, as a Solemnity which is higher than a normal Feast Day. Therefore, if it falls on a Friday in Lent (as it did this year) the ‘no meat on a Friday in Lent’ rule is overridden by the Solemnity and we are free to eat meat if we want cause it is a day to celebrate. Not sure if anyone is aware of all those rules except me :D but I find it interesting. I hope someone else does lol. BTW that is not the case in the US or Canada afaik. I think it may only be in Ireland and Australia.

Nice. I like it when a bass 'glows', that one's cool.
