I like Jazz but I very particular, as in I like neither 'trad' nor 'electric' or 'fusion'. Give me an upright, drums and piano and horn(s) and I'm happy.

Quite a bit of the jazz I like has tuba as the bass instrument. Almost none of it has electric bass as the bass instrument.

I LOVE farewell, might just be my fav Rush album. But it did not fare wellnin the market place. Thats pretty normal for me though.

I also tore up some Frank Zappa, not one single person I grew up with like him either. Stange indeed.

I'm with you. I think that there is probably a high correlation between liking Rush and liking Zappa. You need the ability to understand and like the unusual and a warped sense of humour helps.

My 1¢ on the bashing bs . Many people seem to think I'm nuts for the things I do, use, ect but in the end, it's what works for ME so what difference does it make? I mean, are these dudes helping me load in, set up, play, colect my pay? Are they buying and maintaining my gear? Uhhh no. I spent $1700 on ab SVT just cuz then sold it 6 months later for $1400 just cuz I decided I wanted something else. I ask myself, who are these people anyway? What special Pedigree do they hold to presume they know anything? Fender bridges are crap for 1 big reason, the saddles move around. Anyone who actually plays knows this so suck it up Sally.
