As an added benefit, if you spill the pot of coffee you have a great continuity tester for everything electrical on the bench.:thumbsup:

Once you get back home and all settled down into a regular schedule you'll have to let me know your Nashville venue schedule. My daughter lives there now and is always looking for good bands to see.

We still go out of town on weekends, but I play with Eskimo Brothers every Wednesday 6-10 at Laylas downtown. David also does sundays and Tuesdays with a different bass player. He's really awesome! I do random other gigs around town during the week

I had toyed with the idea of coming up for that show (assuming it's public), but realized I had a scheduling conflict that won't easily move.

I never went to to original Starbucks mothership in Seattle, so I could be wrong, but I think that like the 5 Guys burger place, the pressure of expansion took quality down hill. When I first moved to the east coast, the original 5 Guys was about 2 miles from the office I was at in Arlington VA. Some of my colleagues loved eating lunch there. Then there were 5 sites and it was a small local chain. Then it was everywhere east of the Mississippi and no one who had been a regular would even set foot in the place. The original restaurant doesn't exist anymore.

The other thing you have to consider with expansion is broad appeal to the largest number of people possible. Much like DIs on TB there are some of us that can pick out a lineup of 10 different DIs spot-on in a live mix. But to the vast majority of us a Radial Pro DI sounds just as good as a REDDI in the mix. Now good coffee, unlike the REDDI, might actually be looked down upon as bad tasting by some folks that aren't as "up to snuff." Cheaper and easier to appeal to the masses with a more "bland" product and let the marketing do its job. I mean, look at 7ender (and I love me a P bass).

I luckily was home but put a note our door asking the FedEx carrier to ring the doorbell/knock on our door when there. I checked at a certain point and the box was sitting in plain sight - no doorbell/no knock. No surprise - I hate the :poop:-y mega corporation that is FedEx.

Thanks. I don't know how they stay in business. It's a really weird business model. Unlike UPs, there is not a single FedEx company and everyone works for it. Ground is one company, air is another, drivers are independent and bid on runs and lease or buy their own trucks. I can kind of see why Fedmess would do that, but is seems filled with problems. The lady here told me the various "companies" under the Fedmess head don't even work well to communicate well with each other. I suppose they are cheap and undercut most others. I always ship via the post office and never had a problem that I can think of. UPS here is very efficient (maybe because their main air hub and other support is based here, but they are pricey. An engineer friend who just retired did't even use UPS when he had to send work items because of the cost.

Just setup a cargo account with Southwest Airlines because I didn't trust any of the shipping carriers with that '62 B-15N. Looks pretty promising so far. Cost is looking like ~$85 insured and same day availability.

You know Samsung sends empty boxes and the people handling it from Samsung to Fedmess in TX would never notice or question a box of air--or likely opened or tampered with after Fedmess was involved. On top of that, seems reasonable that as soon as someone found the box empty they would notify someone. But no. We had to keep pressing. I guess they just figured an empty box being shipped was normal I guess. That's three somewhat expensive packages they have messed up for us in the last year and a half or so. I noticed Sweetwater does not use them as a primary shipper any longer. Wised up I suppose.

We had UPS steal an iPhone at the notorious hub in Fontana. They supposedly cleaned it up a few years ago. Who knows. I don't trust them with small packages.
