OK, I lowered the SD neck pickup almost to the ring and raised the bridge pickup a bit. I don't hear distortion in the recording (only recorded the SD versions) now but would appreciate any feedback on any further adjustments you all might suggest.
I agree that, at least through the Ampeg, the SDs have more definition when just using the neck pickup with the tone rolled off.Ok. Better lows than the 760 buckers IMO. But I'm listening on a iPad. You can probably raise the pickups a bit.
Which Weber?
Another good sign you're pleased with how the new Nasty Habits are coming along. I'm really happy for you. It's just up the road in West Seattle............it may come home with me this week.
Don't measure. Just go a quarter turn at a time and listen.I agree that, at least through the Ampeg, the SDs have more definition when just using the neck pickup with the tone rolled off.
Raising the pickups, at least the neck, is a balancing act. 3/16" higher and it is very distorted at the low end.

We'll see, we have rehearsal tonight and another high profile show in Bremerton (Blackberry Festival) next Saturday, the Oct.28 (Halloween) at 7 Cedars, afterwhich I'm going to assess my involvement. The amp will likely replace the GK 700RB II which is just too much for anything we're doing.

Cool, did they do a trip to the valley they say is the site of the start of modern humans? That's in Tanzania from memory.I went 9th grade at this school: Home | Rosslyn Academy | Christian International School, Nairobi Kenya. We started every school day with a bible reading. At that time it topped out at 9th grade, so I didn't spend the rest of high school there.
That's also a good price considering it's condition, if the amp is in tip top shape.
It'll be worth the purchase.
Nice! Ferrari right hand drive. 250 Spyder I assume.

Interesting. I'll have to check my Eppi birds to see if they suffer from the same tone/volume crossover issue. I know my 2015 bird has some pretty significant crossover between the pots. Hate it when that happens. The settings were:
Neck 10, Bridge 0, Tone 0
Neck 10, Bridge 0, Tone 10
Neck 0, Bridge 10, Tone 0
Neck 0, Bridge 10, Tone 10
Neck 10, Bridge 10, Tone 0
Neck 10, Bridge 10, Tone 10
The increased volume in the even numbered clips is a function of the annoying Epiphone issue of the tone pot affecting volume. My one Gibson doesn't do that but all my Epis do.
