Thunderbird Club

The one on Reverb says it is to ship from Pleasant Hill, CA.

Maybe @Stealth57 should check it out and solve the mystery.
I did a search for anything in Pleasant Hill with that name. Nada. So, it’s a person hiding their real identity behind a fake company name. Not sure how you track it down.

I went ahead and had Miles send me the set. Should be here in a few days.
About the time I’ll be finished.

I often use a guitar cleaner like Fender and once every couple years use a good car wax (with carnauba) on basses. A few instrument manufacturers even suggest a good car wax. I first did it after I read where Ric recommend it and it really brought the black back.

I in no way criticize those among y'all who have multiple TBirds. I was lucky enuff to have found the perfect one in 73 and, while I have admired some of the new NR's, especially that burnt orange one from a coupla weeks(+/-) ago, I don't 'need' another 'Bird. Which is good 'cos I damn sure can't afford another one. This'll hafta do:

I’m not big on vintage instruments, but you and @Chucky Stiletti have the ones I dream about.

Who knows.

The one from Japan on the bay still comes up. Gibson Thunderbird IV Ebony 1979 Vintage Electric Bass Guitar | eBay

I thought KingFace was in New York. So either he sold one, or he moved and is selling the one on Reverb, or one of them isn’t really a ‘79, or there are actually two out there in the wild.

Maybe @Stealth57 should check it out and solve the mystery.
Or the California seller will buy from Japan if theirs sells first

Same $$$ as my '64, not doggin' Bicie's 'cause I have two...........But.
I have twice passed on spending that for an OG bird. I’d pay that for one definitely owned and played by Leon Wilkeson or Pops Chambers, but even if they surfaced, I expect they’d go for far more.
