Just noticed the bridge PU looked like it was about to pop out. Old pic of the Nerd Bird.

This Guy! He's everywhere!
And thank you for it George!Nice to see the rack case put to good use. It sat in my garage for 10 years gathering dust, almost threw it out a couple of times. Nice looking rig!
TT! These two got the call today.By gosh, it’s Thunderbird Thursday, post em if ya got em!

…I need to update my photos. The Bach on the left isn’t mine anymore and there’s about another 10 birds in the house that aren’t even in the photo.
Was especially happy to find this recent performance in Močvara Zageb Croatia by my favorite Croatian Surf/Lounge band the Bambie Molesters who I thought dis-banded. (maybe a special performance?) It appears they have a new guitarist (stage left playing the Gretsch) Love Lada (Lada Furlan Zaborac) on bass! There was a short period where there was a male bass-player, maternity leave? She's married to their drummer. Hrvoje Zaborac
Anyway - also on that stage, Messer Chups!

Very cool modern take on the Thunderbird. Really like the Southwest native Indian type detail on the fret markers and pickguard. Huge belly cut! Unfortunately, a huge price tag as well. But to cut the builder some slack, it’s a bit hard these days to be a one off Botique type shop and make enough profit to make it worth your while on basses under $3000.A cool T-bSO from Spain I stumbled across on Reverb. I like a lot of its details. Vila Guitars - Austral Bass - 2 Tone Sunburst | Reverb Canada

Why when I see cool amps I long for them?

Challenge Accepted! Please post that in the GP forum. That will be a hoot!
Busted out the VP for practice the other day to test out the Acoustic 360/300+301 cab (unpowered version from the 371), and man does that combination just WORK. There is something about the Acoustic Preamp that just seems to be made for the Thunderbird. The growl just seems to explode, while being able to keep the lows tight and not overwhelming. I used my Grecobacker too, and it sound fantastic as well, but the Acoustic and Thunderbird are just made for each other, more so even than the T-bird and Sunn or T-bird and Hiwatt. The Sunn and Grecobacker have a similar thing going on, they just pair perfectly.
I'd say I'm primarily a bassist. The inspiration comes from Genesis!
Selling a 'second' for more than a 'first'. Gots to love Gibson. It seems like the modshop basses are based on factory seconds. They have a disclaimer about minor finish flaws. Pretty smart idea IMO.
That looks more like a '55.
Way cool!('cept for price)A cool T-bSO from Spain I stumbled across on Reverb. I like a lot of its details. Vila Guitars - Austral Bass - 2 Tone Sunburst | Reverb Canada
