Thunderbird Club

I always detune a bit and put something like bubble wrap between the board and strings, I also don’t tightly pack but put some headstock protection around “sensitive” headstocks.

Pbase pickups can be ok. I like the MIM 7enders and the Duncan quarter pounders. I have hear good things about the geezer emg’s but have not tried one.

if you want a totally awesome pbase experience, try the original single coil phase pickups. They are stoopid simple and even the $30 eBay Chinese pickups sound as good as the $100 Duncan, don’t get them wound too hot, 7-8k is fine.

The Greco I ought from you arrived detuned almost perfectly to C standard.

2023: I started playing bass again for the for the first time in five years. I started playing music live again for the first time in a decade. I bought my second ever Thunderbird and made it my primary bass.

2024: I just want to play bass live and feel joy .

2023: I got two (TWO!) Grecos (one is RED and is now my primary bass) and now have two amps chained together as well.

UPDATE: it's for all purposes 0030 EST as I type-and correct this-and no BIG [STUFF]. :hyper:. My cat is not freaked, which is good, and I'm ~1/2 bombed and going to bed.
"A Happy New Year to all and to all a good night".:bookworm:
Wait.:wideyed:
That's the other poem. :sorry:

We haven't had pets for a while. Probably good last night, because it was cray. People around here spend serious money on big stuff.

Called Donnie (spelled correctly this time), Dave.

 It's his on-line 'identity' - @dagrev... is there an "onnie" that I overlooked?... (sorry Donnie- if someday we meet that will solidify our internet connection) :bag:

I totally agree Miles! When I can strap on my “bass of the day” all of my troubles melt away.
I still have a few buddies that enjoy free styling and jamming and even recording a little structured musical compositions.
Happy New Year and Keep on Rockin’ in the free World!
