Thunderbird Club

I hate the process of recording, but my geetar teacher turned on the recording stuffs at our lesson yesterday. Me on treble geetar.

Never tried to upload audio files so see if it works….
 Yes, it worked. I shoulda learned some gitfiddle when I 1) was younger, and b) had me a nice NR Firebird.

Cool - yah, TSC will be playing at Winters' tomorrow (J1) 3-5PM ... Geo's B-day Bash. We'll do two sets of 8 songs each covering all 16 songs on our CD in order. We haven't rehearsed much either due to the holidays - but it won't matter as we know the material well and most likely there will be a small crowd being J1. All our new songs both original and covers will appear at the next show in February.

Now just to decide which bass to bring...

Thunderbird-a tool for all situations.:smug:
And Happy B'day.

Did it with the old 'Bird today. Never ever fails to "wow" my ears when I start playing a song live. As I've said before, I could play this bass only and be completely satisfied.

That's what I did for ~15 years b4 I bought some others-which don't get played as much. IOW, if I could only have one...

To all my Thunderbird Brethrens and Sisterens: It's been wonderful sharing yet another year with each of you. The ups we've experienced have been made better and the downs made somewhat more tolerable due to the good people here. Blessed to be part of such a wonderful club!

It's amateur night. Be careful of you go out.

Thunderbird on!
Second year with no NYE gig. Staying home, getting 'sozzled', comforting the cat(fireworks). Big night.:rollno:

Shoes are a sometimes necessary evil. I avoid them AMAP.

I agree!

I wear sandals, mostly, when going out-doors, unless there's really inclement weather (rain and/or cold, neither of which are super common here), or if going to work (closed shoes required, I prefer steel toe boots because I'm pretty decent at being a clutz, and end up needing the extra protection).

I got behind and missed 400 pages .........

Picked up a minty Acoustic 150b for my brother for Christmas (so I can get my Sunn 200s back that was on loan). And damnit, now I need to find another minty one, because it sounds fantastic! Really great sound from just the treble and bass controls, and especially with the bright switch flicked, really brings the crunch and attack.

I've got one of those I've had posted on Craigslist for a while, but not quite "minty".....

I agree they sound pretty good, seems quite loud too. At least, through a 'fridge anyways :bag:

The JMJ Mustang is a really nice bass. But man. They’ve really gone up in price. If looking at used ones, beware some left the factory in 2018(?) with bridge/saddle issues. Fender, with JMJ’s personal intervention, offered a repair and resolved the issue. But something to be aware of.

I will get one at some point. I like shorties and the JMJ sounds awesome!
Here’s my ‘16 MIM PJ:

That reminds me of the one Ale, from The Warning, used to use (before she switched to Spector)

I wish my town would be strict about fireworks. My neighborhood in the flatlands by the bay goes a little crazy with fireworks, especially around the 4th, but tonight will be plenty annoying too. I wish I could put earmuffs on my cat so he wouldn’t get as stressed. That’s the main reason I hate the fireworks, when my cat is unhappy, I’m unhappy.

Same.

The morons started firing stuff off at 6:30-ish, and my cat ran for a dark corner somewhere. :(

Then something sounding like a cannon was set off a couple of times, and he ran for a different hiding spot.

Even worse, they lay off for a while, he finally comes out of hiding, and like 5 mins later they start up with the noise again :rage::rage:

It's 11:45 as I type this and it's really slacked off. For my cat's sake I hope it stays that way. Film at Midnite.

It's amazing, really. I am in awe when I stop and think how we're all here and feel some much in common despite the many miles between us. Thank you all for a wonderful year, may the new one bring you all of life's joys.

I dearly hope to see you all in 2024.
Days like this are once in a lifetime.

Let’s make sure it’s significantly greater than one!

UPDATE: it's for all purposes 0030 EST as I type-and correct this-and no BIG [STUFF]. :hyper:. My cat is not freaked, which is good, and I'm ~1/2 bombed and going to bed.
"A Happy New Year to all and to all a good night".:bookworm:
Wait.:wideyed:
That's the other poem. :sorry:
