I didn't watch any sports at all yesterday ( read about the Huskies) but that would have been a fun game to go to, it was nice here and the game was outdoors at the baseball stadium.
Danny, I get it. Names are difficult for me unless I use them a good bit, at least at first. Even over time, I often need to use them occasionally or they wander off, so that's why I'm using yours here so much, Dylan. It's been that way my whole life. Hence my gentle reminder or good-natured ribbing, e.g., to Gao that your name is Debra, not Dougie. A year after Sharon and I married, we ran into one of my old college friends. I recalled his name and introduced him, but acted like I didn't think to introduce her because I HAD FORGOTTEN MY WIFE'S NAME. It was a few years before I admitted that to her. Thankfully it never happened again!
So, Darrell, I'm with you on this one.
I'm glad she found her way to you, she likes to be spanked....
I'll have to check my concert shirt, but I think I saw them in 2018, and they are still killin' it, I hope they come back here soon.
It was shortly after the Kennedy Center thing, and as I had expectred they did "Stairway" as an encore... probably he only person I would want to hear cover that song....

He wants exclusive rights to his name.![]()
Wise words Mick -
those are really nice basses, I believe they are wired stereo as well….Carvin gets such bad rap….Damn G.A.S. There's a great looking '82 Carvin LB50 Koa on sale, desperately trying to scrape up the funds for it.
Neck-through with dual humbuckers.
LOL - well written!
I suffer horribly from the same affliction, can’t remember a name to save my life. If I’m introduced to an individual by name I usually cannot recall that name 30 seconds later. It’s so bad that I actually called my wife of nearly 40 years by a pet name (Poopsi) because I feared I’d accidentally call her by my previous wife’s name.
Oddly enough, I have very very good visual recall. So if I see a name in writing along with a face next to it, I almost never forget that name. And my recollection of numbers and the physical placement of words or numbers or objects on a page or in a drawing borders photographic. Go figure.
Thanks, Koa!

No worries Davis - it's easy to remember your name because I just think of that famous accordion player.

This is me, but not the nearly photographic part. It's embarrassing/frustrating after meeting someone that a minute later likely couldn't recall their name after a conversation, especially at a meeting. I can recall the conversation and their appearance, but the name will often elude me. I always wondered what in the world was wrong wrong with me. (No need for everyone to rush and begin compiling a list....) That you, Gary, seem to have a similar issue makes me feel better that someone as intelligent as you struggle in the same way.LOL - well written!

Yes. Don't know about anything later, but either side of '80 they made some nice instruments. No one seemed to take them seriously as if it were all junk, which nothing I ever picked up was.those are really nice basses, I believe they are wired stereo as well….Carvin gets such bad rap….
Same.I didn't realize they got a bad rap. I used to drool over their catalog but never had the money for what I wanted at the time.
because of the brilliant (maybe not so brilliant) business model of cutting out the middle man….you could get a heck of a lot of bass (or amp, or speakers etc.) for an an unrealistically low price….problem was imho that you couldn’t try out the instrument……in SoFL they were viewed as Mail Order Peavey….there was a kid in hs who had a Carvin guitar, Carvin amp and a Carvin PA…….needless to say, we used to call him “Carvin”…Same.

The biggest problem with crab for me is that I do all the shelling in our house. We don't have crab very often at all.It was so good! That was Norwegian Red King Crab, steamed up nicely. A nice treat for New year's Day, Huskies won too!
Yummy!
