I think I should try it in a test bass before routing the Casady. But that means getting another transformer and weird value pots. They are hard to find.If it is a thin metal cover like on many pu's... possibly not. I'm not familiar with sound comparisons (sonic or output) of exposed pu's compared to those covered with plastic or metal covers.
If you want black the CP won’t get you there without a refin. When buying a CP (if that’s what you’re looking for) you’ll find the best deals when the seller has listed the bass incorrectly as a bolt on E1 not a CP, which is basically an Eppi copy of the Gibson Tbird. From what I can see these didn't come in black did they? Looks like only white and burst. Specifically looking for black.
Thats an E1, which is the bolt on version.
Yeah I thought that would be the way to go, but I don't think I what I want exists lol.
I suspect the sale is actually an E1. That said, the picture is absolutely a CP, which is the reason I said if the bass being sold is the one in the picture then it’s a good deal. The CP did. This could be NOS. More likely the photo is just wrong, but who knows?
A couple months ago, Epi support looked into the E1 bit for me and said they could find no evidence Epi was currently manufacturing and selling those. Yet New E1s continue to be listed and presumably sold.
I could never have thought I'd see some live Quatermass footage.
That's a pretty big Orange cab John Gustafson is playing thru.
Shoot!(sp?) They wouldn't even fit in my current gigmobile.IIRC, those are Orange/Matamp 4x15s
TBH, I didn't care who won*, but I woulda liked to've seen a closer game.Generally I don't get too wound up about Football, but our locals are playing for the National Championship to night.
So, as the say "Bow down to Washington"
Purple is one of our colors.

one of my favorites…. love Glover’s intro….if I recall the sleeve shows him playing a P….believe he got the Rick for MH where it sounds like he (at least for some stuff) left the flats on….wonder what bass/strings/amp (if any) he used to record that track…….he used a Peavey when I saw him on the Perfect Strangers tour…..remember the house (20k at Hollywood Sportatorium) exploding when they broke into Stange Kind of Woman…. gosh I miss those days….

this showed up too….

Somehow I expected you to know them. Sadly, I didn’t buy the vinyl back in the day. I had a buddy who thought they would be bigger than Yes, Genesis, ELP, etc. Wrong. But good stuff all the same.
The Hollywood, West L.A., Orange and Pasadena GCs can be OK.I tried out a couple of pedals at the local GC tonight. The walls were covered with guitars and basses, which made me happy after a couple years of supply chain deficit. They had no Thunderbirds, which did not make me happy. They did, however, have two Jack Cassidy basses- one red, one blue. I grabbed the red, of course, as they sound better. You can get a ridiculous variety of tones out of that pickup! The neck’s a bit bigger than I like, but that was my only complaint. I may have to get one later. Sounded and played great. I played through a Rumble, so one less variable in the equation. I took one pedal home and the other was ordered. I’d planned to buy the second from Sweetwater because the website said they didn’t have any in stock. But one of the employees had bought their last one today, and let me try it out, so I bought it there.
As I’ve noted before, I really like our GC. Staffed by friendly, helpful musicians who care.
