Amazing Bass,

Actually you can see the evidence of boat life a bit better in this pic of one of the other main squeezes in my life-

I love the boat and bass picture..it’s my favorite place to practice and relax.
As you know, space is a little challenging..so no SVT refrigerator rigs on board. :)
Cheers.

So, in the short time since I got the Lull NRT, it has become my number one player. My P and J basses sound a little anemic now and they are both killer guitars in their own right (one's a Nordy vJ5 and the other is a Fender AVRI '58 P). Anyway, the tone produced by the Lull is so pleasurable to play and to hear, it's kind of addictive.
Pure Humbucker magic.

Not worth the effort. Unless you’re desperate. JMO. Take it with a grain of salt. Or two. My time is worth a minimum $200/hr. The strings I use are $16 - $22 a set. Life is short. Support your favorite string manufacturer and dealer and keep plenty of fresh packs around.
That's always been my thinking--just not worth it for the marginal(?) and short-term(?) advantage, but I thought what the heck. Water and the gas stove are pretty cheap, so I got to wondering since I've never tried it. I appreciate your thinking.

So this is for the folks who like those SG-shaped basses and those huge square neck pickups, as I'm lost on the actual designations (EB? E0?)- anyhow - this is ... interesting to say the least-

Well...That's an EB-3(at least that's what they were called then). Two pups=EB-3; 1pup=EB-0.
I doubt that people were humming this one when they left the show.:wacky:

Instead of doing the stupid thing and searching...didn't a couple of you boil or otherwise clean some rounds? Chuck and Irv, I'm thinking. Chuck mentioning boiling and Irv some kind of alcohol (not that kind Stealth), in a tube?

I've got a set I might like to try to breath a little life in before too long to see how it goes. I don't think I have any PVC around, but will coiling and boiling or soaking in something work well enough to take time to do it?
coil them in a small pot (8 to 10" diam) and cover with water buy keep the silks above the water level, bring to a boil and let them boil for a minute or two.....air dry..
they'll sound new but fade quickly.....just my method when I was too lazy to go to the store..
