Thunderbird Club

or... replace the pg w/red (tort) and make a conforming control plate w/blue (mirror) :)

No offense intended - in my eye Tort looks perfectly at home on a Fender style bass, but on a TBird (especially a white one) it looks too 1950's-horn-rimmed-cat-eye-glasses-leopard-spandex bodysuit gaudy to me. Again, please don't take that as dissing your bass, I'm sure it's a rocker and I'd gladly stand next to you on stage while you played that, but I just wouldn't go out of my way to strap it on (says the guy with pink paisley and blue flower basses, go figure).
Rock it like you stole it!

A new Gibson Thunderbird cost $400 in 1964, that's over $3100 in today's monopoly money.

My point: quality instruments have traditionally been a luxury item. Be happy with today's prices and available options from Gibson USA.

I would love to - if they made anything left handed besides a couple of guitars, and their stated attitude wasn't "He's a lefty? Tell him to learn to play right handed". They obviously don't want my business; so be it...:rollno:

Was drinking that once while my roommates and I had people over. His girlfriend and her friend thought they smelt "chemicals burning" turned out it was my drink.

Ha, to funny, my 3 favs are The Laphroig, Ardbeg and Laguvulin.

An aquired taste for sure, but yeah, i can see how some would say "chemicals burning".

Anytime your're down in the NYC area, my door is open and a scotch will be awaitin for ya.

So, to change the subject, anyone read a good book lately?

My most recent read. Currently learning the art of the Credit Spread.

Just dropped a shot of "Quiet Mans" Irish Whiskey into my coffee. Come on down to the Los Angeles area and join me in a bottle!

Seriously, it sounds really good. It's a rainy gray mf and I'm surrounded by idiots. I really want a drink.
BTW I've been doing Mr Ubernator's diet for the past couple months which has meant no drinking.......Queen is skinnier :D

I haven't tried Ardbeg or Laguvulin, usually bowmore (cause it's good and cheap…er) but as of lately I'm on a Johnnie Walker budget.

I will definitely keep that in mind.

And bring a Thunderbird with you, please.
If I ever do take you up on the offer I'll at the very least bring a picture of my Thunderbirds.
