I've loved trains since I was quite young, my father took me to see the Great Northern as it ran through our little town in northeastern Washington state. I still enjoy them today, ride one to work 3 times weekly and they never fail to fascinate me, old or new, big or small. I am a very avid model maker of them as well. The ones I like the best and build models of are from central Utah in the mid '70s - all this stuff is long gone, I was fortunate to visit along with a friend that was a very accomplished photographer, some of his pics and my models.......
Yours truly in 1981, it's 105 degrees in the middle of central Utah, we're waiting for a train, I am a Dork.
These two freight cars are almost entirely built from structural styrene shapes, with some small commercial parts added, not all my models are so involved - there are many, somewhere around 500 I guess.
