We repeat some songs regularly; others are now and then or one offs (rare). We only rehearse Sunday mornings for the most part (logistics) so everyone practices on their own with something off spotify, youtube, etc.I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that from time to time. I've even got "lost" on easy songs...and I almost always have music in front of me, and still it happens. My wife says she never notices it, so somehow I fake my way out of it. I always cracked it up to how we play something different every week with one run-through on Wed and another on Sun morning. Generally it's a couple months before we do a song again at the earliest, with it generally being a number of months if not a year or more. I hate that part. I liked a band setting much better because you keep going over songs until they are second nature....and when it's show time you don't have to think so much about it. I think learning songs without music was a help for me as well. For what I'm doing at church with different songs every week I gave up trying to memorize songs long ago. No point since you may not play that song for no telling how many months or even years....or ever.
Bars will still be open.
It reminds me of an old saying. Pubs = Irish sunblock.

Nice!
She was incredible-perfect for the part.

Chords and Keys my friend. With those, you can fake anything so long as you know any signature riff in the song, if there is one.We repeat some songs regularly; others are now and then or one offs (rare). But yeah, I occasionally get lost. I either fake my way out or quickly find a good stopping point, then build or jump back in as if it were on purpose. My wife inevitably tells me it was fine. I think once ever has anyone said anything, and that was another musician.
Just think of it as jazz.
Similar to what our secretary captured last time. Who knew there were that many Suns and Moons. We've been lied to all along. It was kinda cloudy here yesterday, but still got some pretty good views of the partial eclipse. I didn't see any weird shadows this time, but the last year's partial eclipse produced these...

Beautiful Corona.... That made you think the Sun went dark? Just how many Coronas are we talking here? This was the First Total Eclipse of the Sun in our area since 1806! We had a partial in 2017. It was pretty spectacular seeing the Sun turn total black with the Beautiful Corona! It got very dark too and the streetlights came on. It dropped about 20 degrees. I took a few iPhone photos but it really didn't do it justice. One of our friends had a nice camera with a telephoto lens and tripod and took some fantastic photos! It really was a spiritual experience. We played a little Dark Side of the Moon during the Eclipse. Great outdoor party. Next one is 2444!

Flew in to a gig in Nashville with an old buddy of mine. He gave me a list of 50ish songs. Out of the first 18 songs he called, 2 were on the list and I knew an additional one on my own. The other 15 I had never attempted to play. Guitarist would shout a key and some numbers at me. Drummer played MD in the ears and I winged the poopie out of it. Lol. We were just laughing about that two nights ago.Chords and Keys my friend. With those, you can fake anything so long as you know any signature riff in the song, if there is one.

It's interesting that to see that Beautiful Corona the moon has to be a precise size and a precise distance from the Earth and also the Sun to observe it. A number of discoveries are now known because of this.
Question, if the moon exactly covers the sun, why is the transit about 4 minutes?Ha! One Corona...one black disc (Moon) over the face of the Sun. It lasted about 3.5 minutes and it was spectacular! Yes interesting the Moon covers the Sun perfectly to just show the Corona. You could look right at the Sun for the entire Total Eclipse. Once the Sun started showing again you had to wear the sun protection.
Yeah, how embarrassing. They have been doing the love dance of late. No body wants to see that. Needs to be a turkey motel around here.
