I've got a 5er he'd love. View attachment 5470169
Yes. Yes you do. I’ll have some funds later in the year and can talk to you about it if it’s still available. First up will be an eb with the DeColas that has been in the works for quite some time now. Then I can concentrate on that beauty. I could maybe do it sooner, but then I couldn’t do Seattle. And making the Seattle trip is a priority.

I am looking for a couple of pots and seem to be getting the run around from the normal sources. What I am looking for are CTS (or equivalent quality) 250k, linear taper, solid (long - 3/4") shaft. Allparts keeps sending me links to split shaft, Sweetwater said they don't have anything like that, the CTS website is difficult to search...

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hmm. OK, I never claimed to have any class, and I didn't like my SVT. I've also never stayed in a Holiday Inn Express(do those still exist?).
And I've never held a P bass.

Me:

Played through at two least SVTs - liked them, but not mine.
Stayed at several Holiday Inn Express, Marysville, WA and Hollister, CA.
Used to own a '73 P Bass, it was Ash with a Maple neck - kept it for about a year, 1979.

I am one of those "Classy Broads"

You might like this channel. Jay is my best friend and the drummer/BL/songwriter/studio musician/recording engineer/producer in my band. He does a wide variety of covers from gospel to country to rock to metal and has a ton of lesson videos too.

I’m working on getting my brother to bring his drum set to the basement at the mountain place. He is a great guitar player. With no discipline. I can’t get him to focus long enough to have a meaningful jam. He used to play drums. And was one of the drummers my guitar buddy and I rotated our bands with back in the day. If I can get him to bring them over, I want to try and learn. A good set of vids would be a great place to start. I know his wife is all for getting them out of their house.

Anything “vintage” 60’s is ridiculous, never mind the 70’s. I remember when you couldn’t give away a 70’s P-bass and now people want big bucks! At one point I wanted to buy a 70’s p bass just to do some horrific things to, because they were the cheapest USA P-basses… and that wasn’t all that long ago!

I clearly remember seeing posts here on TalkBass from people claiming they wouldn't take a 70's 7ender even if you paid them. Willing to bet there are several of those people that have gone on to own said 70's basses since making that proclamation.

And there’s that beautiful smile again! I’m still gassin for the Jackson.
I bought my white BaCH from Bill @saltymonkey - great guy to do business with! Best packaging job on any bass I’ve ever purchased bar none! It is white Wednesday, so I’ll get us BaCH on topic and off this green goodness…

Those Antigua BaCH's look great. ;)

As does mine. But no way I’ll ever do it. Ever.
I've considered it a coupla times. My daughter and I go to Irish Fests and Scottish Highland Games. But to invest in a good outfit for 2-3 days a year just ain't worth it. To me.
This appears to be the proper tartan(O'Daly-long ago):
